My husband has a whole collection of Top Gun - including the making of, which he loves. Our poor kids grew up watching it about every weekend.
He also has a replica of the motorcycle Maverick has in that movie, and even had some cowboy boots altered to be the same as those in the movie - he rides that bike with the whole outfit on.

He has the cockpit in which he put a computer and flight simulator, and I have found him in there playing with the music of Top Gun blaring. Now it is being housed in a aircraft museum, which made a whole corner dedicated to his collection, so he really has a great time! They put a background around it of a aircraft carrier, mannequins around with full gear (including a catapault officer) and.... a smoke machine!

He's 51, and it was Taxi Driver that sparked his passion for collecting Checker Cabs.

Funny how films impact generations so clearly.

Our Xgens were influenced by stories of people struggling with their frustrated dark sides and feelings of being isolated, taking risks and refusing authority.

My kids generation started with "Pocahontas", and continued on with "Avatar" - they excell at being part of a team, eat healthy, don't smoke, and my daughter uses olive oil to clean her babies rear instead of commercial diaper wipes.
This Christmas, they were talking about Disney's version of "Robin Hood", which for some reason really had an impact on their memories... maybe the older Conservatives do have something to worry about....

I figure whatever your age is I am either old enough to be your mom
or your grandma.My 15 year old grandson has a decent movie collection.
The difference is is that he doesn't take very good care of them.

start you off with a few good 80's flicks. even though warriors was technically 70's

I wasn't aware anyone still bought blurays.

I have never seen them cheaper on Amazon though.
