Do yourself a favor and re-watch The Wire. I wasn't a big fan of season two (docks) the first time around, but the second (and third) I had a new appreciation for that season. Its one of my favorites now.
The show to me is all about contrast. The second season was great because it showed that the union workers were very similar to the drug dealers, especially when it came to dealing with the police and the brotherhood they share.
Best show to ever air. EVER
