I know these things take a while but with an upcoming US election the endless Trump threads and general bashing of everything left wing I was wondering if it was coming any time soon.

I would like to remove a lot of the political forums from my feed but would not want to miss anything UK relavant as no one really seems to know where to put them.

I remember SkepticOverlord doing a thread recently in the last few months about site updates and I'm sure he said a UK politics was coming in the update.

As you said though, it takes a while.

Edit: Having looked through SO's thread history it seems I may have been mistaken, for now I think UK politics is covered by the Regional Politics Forum.

I asked almost a year ago if there was any chance of a U.K politics forum, but was told by a few Mods that the regional politics forum was for the purpose of discussing U.K politics, amongst other political discussions outside of the U.S federal Government.

I remember it was discussed and there was an agreement that in the future we would have a UK specific political/social forum.

The reason I was asking is that it is a little confusing for a lot of members and threads tend to pop up all over the place.

As There is a US election that I have no interest in I wondered if there was any place we could hide out until it was over.

We also have an EU referendum on the cards so if there was ever a time to have a specific forum then now would be ideal.

yeah i sent a u2u off to the mods after our original idea for the forum.

Just to remind everyone a UK Madness forum that sits next the US forum on the main page, not "off-topic" but on the main page.

Did you get a response to your message request?
It seems strange that the US has a dedicated politics forum but the rest of the world is 'regional politics'.
I bumped this thread because I wouldn't want the usual trolls to say "use search", and seeing as this thread hasn't been answered by any mods it appears the question is still relevant.

C-SPAN bores the hell out of me but if there was a channel that should Parliament yelling at each other I would watch that crap all day.

Haha yes, I chuckle at Prime Minister questions time on Wednesdays. They never really answer the questions but it is good theatre.
C-Span is on in the UK on Sundays, I've watched it before but it's not on my favourites list.

C-SPAN is the television equivalant of Xanax.

Lol, the UK 'BBC Parliament' channel can be like that, London Mayor question time is really boring, his replies are standard politician fluff answers. He seems sly/insincere as well, I wouldn't ask him to mind my pint in the bar, let alone the UK's biggest city.

Britain has some absolute clowns in politics, this guy was our foreign secretary until recently, he's pretty much offended most nations...

Asked for a UK politics Forum a couple of times over the years....it isn't going to happen.

Don't really see much of the 3 Amigo's round here nowadays.
Mods and Admin do a good job of looking after the day to day stuff....not sure who runs things now so don't know who makes the decisions.

I nominate Mr Masonicus.

He'd get my vote

If the right amount of 'incentives' were offered we'd have the new forum in a day I reckon

If you look into the "regional politics" forum, you will find sticky threads saying, I think, "welcome to UK politics" and "welcome to Canadian politics".
In other words, they started specialised forums, found them under-used, and merged them.
