Angry cow stops traffic, gets tackled by cops

Heh, it's not some angry fatty. heheh. I love a good headline though!

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. - Deputies and animal control officers had to get physical with an agitated cow who somehow made it onto Interstate 70 and blocked traffic.

Eastbound lanes of I-70 were closed for about a half hour after the cow escaped and got onto the roadway, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.

Patrol deputies and animal control officers had to tackle the upset bovine to the ground. After that feat, deputies and CDOT were able to reopen the interstate.

That officer weighs more than the poor cow so its probably not worth it as it's not suitable for an accidental hitting a patrol car and ending up on the weekly police grill out yet

If you freak out your meat too badly before you kill it, it's tough as shoe leather because of the stress hormones ... or so I've heard from those who have taken home portions of their large road kill (deer).

Yup, he was arrested. They really grilled him at the station. The sentence is 15 - 20......at 165 degrees.

Was the cow tased? Anyone catch if the officer was yelling stop resisting? Cow in the pic is black, cop is white, why is cow still alive?

I only had one star per post too give out as well.

The poor cow is very lucky indeed, being agitated, she must have clearly must have been guilty of something, therefore must be shot at. I am going to make the assumption that the cops must have wasted all their bullets firing at other people along the way to the call, hence the reason she is still alive.

Reminds me of a video I saw from Scotland, of a police van chasing after some stray cows, with the pitchfork-wielding farmer in hot pursuit. Took me ten minutes to get my breath back!
