I imagine it would be a short-lived, as any species with the ability to reach us, coupled with the desire to invade and eliminate us, would most
likely possess extraordinary weapons and it would be a quick process of elimination.
Do modern technological armies feel compelled to defeat and destroy Inuit tribesmen? No.
Would they push them out for oil drilling? Yes. Would they keep themselves secret from Inuit? No.
If ET wanted to come here and wanted something important for them, ET would take it, we would know, and we couldn't do a thing about it other than
appeal to their morality to use some lube.
And yes, obviously if any ET was able to fly here, they don't even need any extraordinary weapons to obliterate us. Just moving an asteroid a little
bit which is insignificant next to warp drive.
"Anti-gravity" or "warp drive" is potentially weapon of not just mass destruction but civilizational extinction.
