Bernie Sanders has managed to generate a lot of wealth for himself during his crusade against the "one percent." The self-proclaimed democratic socialist has raised 26 million dollars in voluntary donations. Bernie sure has gained a lot from capitalism for a socialist. Bernie Sanders likes to speak about the greed of the one percent and the fat cat capitalist profiting of the explotation of others. However, Bernie could of helped feed 107,928 starving children with these proceeds. It is time to expose the hypocrisy of Bernie and his supporters. Bernie Sanders supporters are not just economically illiterate, but they are hypocrites.
Sanders is willing to spread everyone elses wealth at gunpoint, but he is unwilling to redistribute his own wealth. Check out this article to learn more: www.againstallaggression.com...

First i would like to state that i am not a supporter of his, but your thought process is illogical at best, yes he could feed numerous and house some as well but at what cost? His platform is change and well for him to have any chance in hell at winning and getting a chance to provide his form of change he is going to need large sums of cash. That is how the United States political system works. If you don't have money do not apply, so if by keeping said money to run so he can "Help" the people he claims to want to help then it is a moot point. Now if he absconds with the money to a country with no extradition treaty you would have a point. otherwise your logic is invalid.

What's the point of this thread again?

Attract critisim from Sanders supporters...

Why Bernie seems like a sensible guy among the clowns, that it warrants a bashing thread of it's supporters?

Peace

Ah, election time again in America. Can you hear it? Off in the distance, a bald eagle checks the chamber one last time before blowing it's brains out because it just can't take it anymore.

If he didn't need to raise that money to have a shot in hell in winning then you might have a point. And to be fair he doesn't want a full blown socialst state, that is just a red herring.

another interesting point, something like 91 percent of the time the presidential hopefull that raises the most money for his campaign wins. Washington Post Article

Donations and cash flow are part of our political process, right or wrong, at least as far as i can tell from what i have looked into it anyways most of The Berns comes from his followers and not multi national corporations. So you know at least he has that going for him.

If you want a little more ammo....
Do a cursory review of the amount of money his wife made while nearly bankrupting a college. I won't say anything more. Do a quick search. You'll find it

Anyone who runs for president needs to raise money for the campaign. Bernie has raised some impressive funding from INDIVIDUAL contributions too, not the PACS and corporate money the others count on. Look THAT up when you have a beat.

As compared to other candidates, it appears his salary is all he lives on. And he pays his taxes at the rate of 16.9% and donates to charity. Have a read.

On tax returns, Sanders and wife report $200,000 in income — mostly from his Senate post

And while I'm here...Bernie Sanders on the Actual Issues

And that phony wife and the college story? That's all they have to try to attack the family with. Talk about desperation.

But, hey, rage on....

"Phony" wife story?

Are you serious?

And he wants to be in charge of "Free College" for all?

She damned near bankrupted the place.

Good luck.

Edit: And you did an Edit to add a Bill Maher clip?

The man has to raise a lot of money. Else, he can't buy his way into the election process.

Disclaimer: That's not a statement for or against Sanders. Rather, it's intended as a jab at the election process.

Yes phony story. I predicted (somewhere around here) months ago that that was the only desperate thing they will be able to find that even remotely indicts that family. And BOOM there it was.

Because you knew they were corrupt somehow makes that corruption acceptable?

I applaud you. Tremendous victory there.

What corruption?

Taking in hundreds of thousands of dollars to relocate a campus while (knowingly) the school can never afford it....
And then "resigning" just befor the shoot hits the fan... and their friends made major profit.....

Oh, yeah, nothing to see here

If you feel it's someone else's job to vet your candidate.... I don't know what to tell you.

If you want to blindly follow... I don't know what to tell you.

I'm a bit busy this weekend but if you need me to I think by end of day Tuesday I can provide you with some lessons that you should be able to uncover on your own

Let me know if I need to put together a syllabus

What isn't sensible is day in and day out ATS complains about the debt and career politicians. Yet despite his plans requiring an exorbitant amount of money, and his 19 years in congress, you all are ga ga for him.

Umm WOW ... Even though I disagree with most of Bernie's ideas, I respected him for 'walking the walk' of his political ideas. Until I looked up that bombshell you just dropped. Here are a couple of links and quotes for those that either are dismissing the story or can't google for the links.

dailycaller.com...

According to Jonna Spilbor, an attorney who reviewed the documents for TheDCNF, “the college APPEARS to have committed a pretty sophisticated crime” by exaggerating donor commitments in order to secure financing for the deal.

Sanders’ role in bringing Burlington College to the brink of the abyss has been known for years. Research by TheDCNF, however, indicates that Sanders may not just be guilty of bad judgment, but potentially criminal activity enabled by Vermont officials willing to implicitly trust the wife of a sitting senator.

www.redstate.com...

www.wnd.com...

dailysurge.com...

The list of links goes on and on. I just copied and pasted the links to the first few I found. Basically the college misrepresented the amount of money and assets it had in order to secure a loan to buy property for a new and bigger campus. Bernie's wife was president of the college at the time and abruptly resigned when it started unravelling.
