Want me to get up from here grab my gunz and drive to DC and take over the capital right now ?

That gonna make you happy ?

Do you REALLY want to see millions of Americans with their brains splattered all over the place just to satisfy what ever the hell the problem is with American gun owners ?

I guess were just not 'psycho' enough for you is THAT it ?

I hope you know that our military are made up of our sons and daughters. And most of them know what they swore to protect. Unlike the UK we do not swear alegence to the Queen, here in America our military swore to protect the Constitution above all else. So ya those fighters, tanks and drones ... Some of them will not be in government's hands. But let's hope it will never come to that.

I am an American and a vet so you're not telling me anything I don't already know. Whats funny is all the butt hurt people attacking the OP because he did make a good point. Many of the gun nuts keep crying we need our guns to fight against a tyrannical government but do nothing but sit on their thumbs.

Lets just face it dude you will never do nothing against tyranny or you would have done so already.
Bleating is what you do best nothing more.
What has my socialism got to do with the subject?.
You and others are the ones who shout freedom but do nothing but let your government take away your freedom.

You don't get it.

It seems too many Americans actually do like the tyranny.

Just look at how they vote.

Just look at who's mostly been in power since the 1930s.

Looks like you're just jealous and spiteful.

It isn't that.

They are NOT going to bite the hands that feed them.

Every revolution require another thing to be successful.

People WILLING to fight.

You are the one who keeps on telling us all why you have guns and those excuses are to do with tyranical governments but when push comes to shove you have just proved all you say is BS. Like I said you will do nothing with those guns you love so much.
I have asked you a simple question a few times now.
At what point do you actually use those weapons?.
Or again will you not answer?.
This isn't about gun ownership at all. How many threads have you told everyone that the government is tyrannical? but do nothing? you bleat about what your founding fathers says but ignore it.
All talk dude thats what you are all talk no action otherwise you and otheras would have overthrown your government.
Unless you actually admit your government is not that bad yet.
If they are not that bad yet when do they become that bad? that bad that you would do something?.
like I said never dude all hot air.

It is not wise to fire the first shot in this situation.
The U.S. has nuclear weapons at their disposal.
But so do many other countries.
Nobody really wants to start a shootout that is going to cost more than it's worth.
As long as all sides with a dog in that fight keep it on a leash, there will be no blood.
Laws are words on paper.

No.

Some of us DO actually value human life and don't think so little of it.

So we seek OTHER means BEFORE we resort to force.

All ya got to do is get American soldiers to bomb American civilians....

Seeing how we have turned war into a video game with the use of drones it really wouldn't be that hard. Just superimpose a video of a foreign nation over the real video feed from the drone and the pilot would be thinking that they are bombing a terrorist hideout when in reality they could be bombing Americans.

Then never again say guns are to fight tyranny when you are not willing to fight for your rights.
Will you veer ask answer a question? at what point would you actually fight?.

Even if you had a machine gun do you think it would do any good against a tank or a drone? Also some states do allow permits so you can own machine guns.

It's well documented on the net that American drones aren't all that.

Hell Iran has taken them down.

And here in the US jamming is easier than one thinks.

The US military is not 'invincible' as some like to make it out to be.

To repeat. 15 years of war in the middle east.

Tanks aren't invincible either.

YES!!!!!!!! Finally somebody gets it.

Why stop there?

I think I should have the right to own a predator drone with hellfire missiles. Who's with me?

Yes because Iran is a NATION they have something called a MILITARY. So they have access to weapons that a vast majority of Americans simply could not afford.

And here in the US jamming is easier than one thinks.

Yes it is and while you are at it just paint a big bullseye on your house.

Correction not war but rather 15 years of protecting corporate interests. Oil in Iraq and opium in Afghanistan.

Tanks aren't invincible either.

Nothing is truly invincible so tell me how would you take one out with your rifle?

I’ve been trying to avoid these gun discussions, but what the hey, a few shots of tequila and I’m ready.

We get it. The British don’t understand. The British are traditionally very class oriented. All your lives, you have been conditioned with the concept that commoners should not have the same privileges as royalty. You’ve got your kings and queens and earls and squires and dukes, etc. There is a hierarchy determined by birthright. The King’s word is law for the lower classes, but the King is not subject to the law. Although royalty in the UK isn’t what it once was, the mindset remains: The ruling class is not required to obey the same laws as the commoners. That’s why you have snipers targeting unarmed people who are upset about having their money stolen. That’s why you have the press and government covering up for high-level pedophiles.

You see this as being about guns. What it’s really about is an American concept that the government is bound by the supreme law of the land; the US Constitution. Unlike the traditionally unlimited powers of a monarchy, the powers of the US government are theoretically limited to what is specifically spelled out by the Constitution. By law, the government has no authority to infringe on the right to bear arms any more than they have right to limit free speech, or perform searches without warrants, or tell people who they are allowed to marry, or tell people what medical procedures they are allowed to have, etc. That doesn’t stop them, though. They think people should be happy that they “allow” gays to marry, or “allow” abortions, like the government has the legal authority to prevent such things.

But fear not, the US is inexorably being pushed in the same direction as the UK. While the Constitution may guarantee equal rights, a lot of smarter than average people systematically using emotional appeals to get people to sacrifice their rights for a false promise of security. Of course, our ruling class doesn’t sacrifice their privileges. Peons will be denied guns, but the ruling class will have their armed security. Insider trading will be illegal for everyone but the ruling class. Too big to jail is an unwritten law. Privacy will be a right that applies to the government, not the citizens, etc.

If that’s not happening fast enough for you, just be patient. Our media and educational system are working hard to intimidate, scare, and “re-educate” our population to accept a privileged ruling class. Someday soon, out President will be able to shoot someone in the face with a shotgun on live TV and smile about it. We will have more pedophiles per capita in government than the UK. Our cities will have double security cameras per square mile than London.

One day, our ruling class will be telling your decedents what rights they need to give up.

You are asking why I have not taken up arms against my government? Well without getting myself raided by the goose-steppers again, or getting banned from ATS for mentioning things against T&C, I'm just going to let you know that I decided to put it to my community. For me it got to the point where the only options left were blood on the streets or throwing my hat in the political circus and trying to change the system from within. I put this to my community--its up to them to decide if they vote for me.

But yeah, make assumptions about us and why we need guns.

I know why you have guns and agree there are nasty critters in the USA human and animal alike and would have a gun myself If I lived there but guys come on don't lie.

If I lived in the UK I would me stockpiling more than just guns--your monarchy and her peadofile Tory scumbags are FAR more of a threat to the world than anything on the north American continent.

Monarchy is the same as slavery, the Stockholm syndrome love for them is offensive to everyone living in a civilised democracy. The only reason Englund wont allow a right to bear arms is because the establishment is too afraid of the people they have trodden on, too afraid they will rise against the royals and the Tories and build a better Brittan on the charred corpses of Etonians and the rest of the "public" school crowd.

The notion that people have enough firepower to defend the country from a military advanced enough to defeat our modern U.S. military is.....laughable...

But as I've already said in another thread, if the Sandy Hook massacre didn't force any change then nothing will...yep..20+ kids shot dead inside an elementary school didn't force any change....and instead gun nuts rushed to stock up on more ammo and guns.
