This idea that some dissidents are going to overthrow the most militarily powerful government with a few small arms is kinda cute TBH. That time has come and gone. We now live in an age of unmanned aerial vehicles, global positioning systems, and advanced ballistics. Go ahead and try, and when you do let me know how that works out for you.

If people are willing to accept the downside of minimal regulation on guns then I'm fine with things as they are. However, for those who champion the 2nd amendment as they do, don't complain if it ends up affecting you directly. Don't try to deflect responsibility for why things are the way they are. It's hypocrisy to do so.

This is true, so long as the ideas coming from the pen aren't repulsive. Kinda hard to get broad support outside of your little bubble if your ideas are terrible.

Apparently we must use them to overthrow the government to please you.
The time may/will come someday when that is needed so maybe we should have the guns just in case.

I think you have your answer. The only responses so far are "None of your business". They know they're FOS.

If the Government wanted us dead, we would be dead. The guns people have in the U.S. wouldn't be able to stop that, and gun owners know that. If they don't.........then be very afraid of them. Delusional and ticked off gun owners........those are some of the ingredients that make mass murderers. (Look at the FBI information about mass murderers and you'll see what I'm talking about)

Personally, I don't care if people have guns or not. I just don't get why they advertise it when they do. I also don't get why they think it's a god given right. Food and water are God given rights. Owning a gun is a privilege that should be granted when you prove that you're not a criminal or certifiably depressed and on anti-depressants. (Look at the FBI information about mass murderers and you'll see what I'm talking about)

You can live 7 days without a gun. You can't live 7 days without food and water, and by the 3rd you will start to realize the difference between a privilege and a right. At least I would hope so.

I hope you know that our military are made up of our sons and daughters. And most of them know what they swore to protect. Unlike the UK we do not swear alegence to the Queen, here in America our military swore to protect the Constitution above all else. So ya those fighters, tanks and drones ... Some of them will not be in government's hands. But let's hope it will never come to that.

Where have I said I dislike guns? I don't mind them and enjoy shooting my point is why you all lie and say it is because we need them to overthrow governments when you have done nothing of the sort and never will.

Well they are using something a little bit better than the laughable AR15. Even with better weapons the war in Iraq is over. Afghanistan may as well be over with but we have to protect the poppy fields. Libya didn't even last a year and we didn't even put boots on the ground.
