Obama Should Threaten to Resign if the Congress doesn’t do something this time

Anybody who knows me here knows I am NOT a fan of Obama. But this speech to me was a great one and nessassary but unfortunately the hard headed gun freaks won’t budge and the GOP their protectors have long left the human race of compassion, wisdom and solutions so he’s wasting his time.

I find it difficult to give him credit but I will this time.

But he hasn’t gone far enough

Obama, the thing with him is even when he is in the right he doesn’t follow up.

He'll give one speech and you won’t here form him again


If you’re going to move the heart and minds of people you have to do it over and over and then they’ll get the message that at least he has real passion and not just going through a preconceived political speech.

Obama should do this:

Threaten to resign if the congress doesn’t move on this murder rampage


If it he is sincere he should sacrifice something for the good of the country. This might finally galvanize the country to force the do-nothing GOP to do somthing


This would make the retarded GOP think about really doing something


It will also scare the living s___ out of them and Hillary Clinton since Joe Biden would become president.

DO IT OBAMA!

If it is sincere you will go down as a great president and a man of principle

We don't even know the killer's name and out rolls the gun control crowd. We could only hope he would resign, if he can't eliminate the 2nd Amendment. We live in dangerous times and the PC folks want us to give up our guns !

The GOP might think for a second: "oh gee great...we finally got rid of this bum"

The key is Obama finally doing something with passion and sincerity


His last speech before he resigned would be a political moment in history and make the GOP look like pure crap

Yeah, he really should do something about this. Apparently, the "gun free school zone" sign wasn't big enough. Maybe if he passes some laws making them in a larger font, maybe a few more by the front doors, these mentally unstable individuals will think twice before bringing guns into a weapon free zone and committing these acts.

It comes a time when a man must finally step up and do something right.

Where not right all the time or wrong all the time but when it comes to our young people time in and time out getting slaughtered on the street over and over maybe it reaches the heart...the soul and a man s got to do something

I work in schools with little kids man. If that happened in one of my schools I'd be a dead man for sure...I couldn't handle one of my kids getting hurt...

Why should he resign for congress as usual being useless?

One problem that stands out right away is that Obama isn't right.

Chicago is the perfect example of that. You cant legislate guns away from criminals. Mayor Jane Byrne passed legislation in 1982 banning hand guns in the city of Chicago. Since the outset of the Chicago handgun ban, the percentage of Chicago murders committed with handguns has averaged about 40% higher than it was before the law took effect. The US supreme court has since declared that law unconstitutional, as it should be.

Guns are not the problem. People with no respect for life are the problem. An entire generation of people who since the day they stopped sucking their mothers teat were given everything they asked for except discipline are the problem.

I agree, we need an answer. But we need a real answer, not more feel-good politics. We need a solution to this problem. Not another useless piece of legislation that serves no purpose other than to give a bunch of overpaid politicians a reason to pat themselves on the back, give themselves a raise, take an extra month off, and have their driver take them home, armed guards in tow, so they can relax after a hard days work doing nothing.

We deserve better than that.
