No problem.
From Ctesius, a Greek physician:

There are in India certain wild asses which are as large as horses, and larger. Their bodies are white, their heads dark red, and their eyes dark blue. They have a horn on the forehead which is about a foot and a half in length. The base of this horn, for some two hands'-breadth above the brow, is pure white; the upper part is sharp and of a vivid crimson; and the remainder, or middle portion, is black. Those who drink out of these horns, made into drinking vessels, are not subject, they say, to convulsions or to the holy disease [epilepsy]. Indeed, they are immune even to poisons…

This is the only way to capture them: when they take their young to pasture, you must surround them with many men and horses. They will not desert their offspring and fights with horns, teeth and heels; and they kill many horses and men. They are themselves brought down by arrows and spears. They cannot be caught alive.

Any comment on the English "true and wonderfull" accounts of dragons?

I have a comment,
They're cool stories. Nice stories.
I like the ones about unicorns and fairies too.

Myths are based upon fact. That is why they endure as part of our history.

Myths are based upon fact.

Sometimes. But those facts are not necessarily what the myth turns them into.

Unless you think that there actually was a giant lumberjack with an enormous blue ox for a pet.

I am not sure about Paul or Babe the Blue Ox; or for that matter Johnny Appleseed. Not old enough a story to contemplate longevity. This requires foresight; hindsight? perhaps in a few thousand years (see how the myth holds through time).

So, if a story about something that happened before the people telling it lasts a long time, it makes that story more valid? What's the cuttoff point? 100 years? 200 Years?

How long does it take for a story to be told to be valid? Are werewolves real? People turn into wolves?

Cutoff? Thousands of years, think in terms of a Noah or the Akkadian counterpart Uptajistitim, or the Adama and Eva.

I found some others

"And as I was considering, behold, an he goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes."

"His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together... and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh."

Horns on head

Truth is stranger than fiction. Like vet said, most "myths" arise from fact.

As I said, that "fact" usually has nothing to do with the eventual myth.

You have that backwards.

dragon "myths" are ubiquitous in cultures across the globe, indicating this was not a simple geographic diffusion of myth. But rather, all of these cultures were observing large serpents with wings. Don't you think it is suspect that so many cultures depict dragons? And also, the chinese zodiac has 11 real-life animals, and then a mythical one? Science is just now realizing that dinosaurs probably had feathers... Yet these ancient cultures depicted feathered dragons in their writing and art long ago.

Actually sounds far more believable than fish turning into people...

Not really.
But neither one has happened.

Yes, the same *Myths* are cross cultural and span continents of differing eras (thousands of years ago). Most notably the one of Creation; all remarkably similar.

You literally believe that your approximately 100,000x great grandfather was a fish.

Are you aware of the Polynesian creation myth(s)? Or don't they count?

No.
Do you literally believe that is what evolution says?

In the proposed theory, fish are ancestral to humans on the tree of life. So therefore, you believe your distant forefathers were fish.

They all count as they are *again* remarkably similar (even if on different island nations or continents). Sky God came and mated with our women.

This doesn't prove my beliefs, it just disproves the validity of the theory of evolution.

Sure, whatever you say.

Phage: No. Do you literally believe that is what evolution says?

I would say no as fish don't possess vocal chords and cannot express their latent secret history.
