Google maps search 9/23/2015 directs you to CERN.

Just curious... anyone here know why searching 9/23/2015 in google maps leads to CERN?

It might reference your IP address and then search. Not sure...

When I search '9/23/2015' I get no results.

google just tells me he can't find that place, and doesn't even tell me I spell it all wrong either.

Try adding a city, state, or zip code.
Add 9/23/2015 to Google Maps.

I didn't try it on google uk, but it certainly did go to Cern using googlemaps.com

Does cern have any publicly acknowledged activity on or around the date?
Then again, it could be something they already did, that will culminate on the infamous date.
Wre they ever able to clean out the mysterious blob of matter they found?

ETA- i guess it was officially called a "mysterious object"... for anyone wanting to search aho doesn't know or remember what I'm talking about.

Hmm... whenever I try to get to the .com URL, it redirects me straight back the UK one. Maybe it's coz I'm at work.

I tried it on duckduckgo, duckduckgo.com... , and put in 9/23/2015 and got a plethora of hits on strangeness. Someone even has it on a timer...

I went to googlemaps.com and entered

9/23/15

Cern

I then tried 9/23/14

Nothing

9/23/16

Nothing.

Went back and tried 9/23/15 again

Cern

Interesting.
