The Angel and The Time Machine
The day had come. Night had fallen. There was that moment. Laying in the dreariness of time. Hope. Wisdom.
From the dreams of an old woman. The need for solitude. Peace. Tranquility.
From the nightmares of an old man. The mending of fences. Heartbreak. Ineptitude.
From the fantasies of a young child. The wishes to come true. Love.
The angel appeared. The time machine on their wings. Depths. Heights.
Where would you like to begin your journey?
The old woman was first and longed for a younger day. Where she could find hope and gain wisdom.
The old man was next and longed for a different way.
Where peace and tranquility were an option.
The young child was last and prayed for everything to stay a fantasy.
The angel took the old woman back to her childhood life. There she was given the chance to see what was already given to her and squandered. Peace
and tranquility. Replaced by despair and agony. Decisions made with horrible consequences.
The angel took the old man ahead to his next destination. There he was shown the difference between his past mistakes and the results of those
choices. Love and hope. Replaced with sorrow and anger. Decisions made with horrible consequences.
The angel took the young child nowhere and allowed the present to remain a fantasy. No need to spoil it the angel said. You are much to young to
lose hope. To be filled with anger and despair. That would not be fair. You deserve to be loved without fear.
The old woman gained valuable insight and was able to enjoy the peace she was given, for she knew now why she felt the way she did. The weight of
despair was lifted and replaced with something she was missing. Love.
The old man gained valuable insight and was able to gain a perspective about anger and hatred. The shackles were removed and the need for something
else replaced them. Love.
The angel told them that the only thing they ever needed was free and required only one emotion to achieve. Love.
