Yes, the moral Jesus did propagate only giving knowledge and wisdom to those who were worthy and able to receive it. A person not properly aligned to wisdom or knowledge will ridicule it, misunderstand it, or even use it for the pursuit of evil.

Leonardo Da Vinci invented a way for vessels to move under water ... He with held this idea because he understood that such an invention would be used for nefarious reasons ... he was proved true

My point being that Humanity needs to move beyond war and self interest first

I can see this would be the case in the authoritarian governments where there is low levels of executive transparency and nepotism such as in China, where arguably the Communist Party elite are a secret society. Other authoritarian governments that have a high degree of political opacity and corruption, such as Russia, and may also display features of a secret society i.e. Putin's cabal of billionaire mates that benefit from government policy.
