Last time I checked the WH is still spending on wars like Niagara Falls. Be that as it may, blaming our debt on lower taxes from Nixon and Reagan is well pretty typical of Democrat Party ideological thinking. Im not saying Republicans are blameless, Im just saying lower taxes are not the problem. The problem is no matter how much taxes you raise, the government is going to spend more than it takes in. Unlimited government spending is the problem, and the federal reserve central bank printing money devalues the dollar. It/s hidden tax hidden inflation. How many times do I have to say it?
In fact Im quite surprised how many conspiracy theorists buy into the old argument that if you just raise taxes on the rich we can pay off our debt....

I think the biggest debt responsibility lies with the Kennedy and Johnson Administrations.

The U.S. is never going to pay off the programs started way back then.

Not to mention the failures have cost 100x more than anticipated.

Big government failure all the way.
