A walmart is built differently from a skysvraper. And if it collapses it does not do so evenly. I am aware those are nighttime shots, but the building is burning all of it top to bottom and it did not collapses. They gave up on 7 because the fdny they did call in was burried under 2 skyscrapers.

Mandarin Hotel Beijing hotel fire partial steelwork collapse again concrete survived. ALL the steelwork was replaced the concrete structure held it up.

The boot-shaped high-rise has an exterior steel framework, much of which will be stripped away and rebuilt, and a concrete interior portion that can be salvaged.

The CONCRETE held the steel up !!!!!

NIST talked a lot about a single 'key' column failing (due to thermal expansion, a new phenomenon on planet earth) causing the rest of the building to fail. If that's true all they needed to do was pull one column off it's seat and the whole thing would collapse. Seems incredibly unsafe and unstable to rely on a key column to support the entire structure don't you think? Isn't that the exact opposite of how load bearing structures should behave?

NIST explained nothing. They only showed us a nice animation and never released the model they worked with. Therefore NIST is not even part of the conversation.

Saying the building collapsed due to fire and damage because we say so and everyone who disagrees is a child molesting truther does not amount to taking part in the conversation.

How about some videos of high rise buildings experiencing total collapse
because of office fires? There are none. Zero in all these years

turns tail and starts revealing details. At this point the tap will flow freely.
Then the Cheney Rumsfeld Guilliani and Blackwater's house of cards will collapse.

It's funny how people like you seem to forget totally about the aircraft impacts and damage and concentrate on the fire.

Show us an example of WHAT YOU think is a multi storey STEEL FRAMED BUILDING surviving a fire.

Then of course maybe they should have made them from TIMBER!!!!!!

Seismic design relies on modelling, risk analysis and changes to the structural stiffness. Wind design relies on additional structural members and wind tunnel tests. Current fire design relies on very simple, single element tests and adding insulating material to the frame. Thermal induced forces are not calculated or designed for

When the Towers & WTC 7 were built thermal loadings were not calculated as they NOW are after the event.

Not only that but it makes you wonder why in demolition not the one column is taken out. Of course that is complete BS. One column collapsing would not take out the rest of the columns holding up the building.
