Is there any good reason why all my new posts are signed utnapisjtim (lower-case u) and not Utnapisjtim (upper case U)?

just a guess ...

You signed up with your username - case specific - it is assumed you wish to be adressed as such ...

Oddly, a side effect of logging in using different cases, means I can't edit my own post. Lol, interesting feature...

Well that was odd. I had to turn my iPad sideways to log in. Oh well, All's well that ends well

You also seem to have two profiles.
On your profile as reached through your mini-profile here, you are lower-case.
On your profile as reached through the "members" list, you are upper-case.

Another ATS programming failure where the input is routed into the function (meaning the membername-var) without checking first, while in background upper/lower case is corrected for the database querry. Otherwise you would not get the profile informations.

Having similar issue.

Logged in on my phone, made this post.

Came back to my comp. Besides having my user name in all lower case suddenly, and being unable to edit my "phone post" from PC, I was also able to star my own post (as a test).

Well that could be IP issue. You cannot be logged on with several IPs, at least that´s what I would do if I were ATS.
And it makes sense...

Not sure if it would change your idea but I was never logged into both at the same time, as far as I know. I only rarely sign in via my mobile device, and never stay logged in on it. My computer was not yet booted up and online earlier when the doppelganger effect struck me. Though, I never log out of it either way.

Oh well, interesting little tech hiccup eh.

Just have to try this hehe.

eta: Looks like if you use different cases (any letter in caps) in your username while logging in, it shows up the way you registered or something (with the specific cases involved). I logged this one in as utnApisjtim, showed up Utnapisjtim. If I log in all lowercase, it shows up lowercase. Gonna try an log out and in and check a thing more. The Edit thing.


eta2: Could edit. Check out the username in the edit-tag. Logged inn all-lowercase to edit showed up same as the one I used originally in this post....

This issue with the log-in was corrected a few days ago, and I neglected to update this thread.
