Why would the US government EMP its own infrastructure. Collapsing the grid in Texas, would take out the entire US and probably Canada. Seems like a pretty huge claim that they are going to do this and of course huge claims, require huge proof.

Oh and BTW, don't feel stupid, most people have no clue what's going on. At least your ahead of the game a bit by reading ATS (just don't take everything at face value, do your own research).

But you are right. Makes little to no sense why they would EMP anywhere even for an exercise. But being in Texas, I am surrounded by hillbillies and rednecks with too much time on their hands and not enough brain cells. I am truly grateful that I have this place to turn to...

On a side note, I Just remembered, I have a friend in the army I could ask about all this. Maybe he will know something.

I've been reading conspiracy and "alternative" websites for years. Wish I had five bucks for every time I've seen someone talking about looming military actions that never happen.

Bobs- Texas is the only state with its own power grid. I'm not an electrician but I suppose it is possible that emp-ing Texas might not affect the electrical grids of other states.

Oddly enough, that's the face I made when I read this entire thread. Interesting, but super unlikely. I did like how it went from a government exercise to blaming an EMP on either ISIS or Syria, or an impending massive invasion of the Chinese on the Southern Border.

This conspiracy theory is almost stupider than the one about the secret time-travelling Marines fighting evil aliens on Mars. If there really were evil aliens on Mars it would make sense to fight them. This doom porn makes no sense at all on any level.
