I thought it was a porn site.

It is.... for those who are addicted to intrigue.

ATS has a mysterious or fascinating appeal.
It also attracts a lot of smart people, which
means I learn a lot.

I've found it is the best way to stay current
on the topics that interest me.

If it is not on ATS, is really worth knowing?

I originally joined because of my son being a member here.I wanted
to make sure that I didn't have to worry about the FBI pounding on
my front door looking for him.I liked what I saw and joined up the same
day.

Wow this thread filled up fast!

When I first found this site I was blown away at how perfect it was for me with so many interesting topics and people. I never lurked. I joined right away and they never kicked me out, so here I am after all these years still enjoying myself and calling the place my second home.

Yea the preppers

In nov 2012, i was so freaked out I dragged a log of wood into my house and for 6hours straight, tried the whole "girl scout" set it on fire thing by rubbing the sticks, but jack happened..

So I though I am doomed and first thing in the morning ran into the shops (literally went into like 12 supermarkets)

3 years later and I still have the 150 bic lighters (lucky I smoke i used like 8 of them, at some stage I've actually decorated them all) and 1.5l of zippo liquid.

I think that I originally stumbled across ATS while researching 'Water Fuel Cells' particularly 'Stan Meyers' work. I decided to join because ATS had really cool threads about all sorts of things that I had never heard before.

These days I find that ATS is largely filled with rubbish... Small, narrow minded people who don't really want to share or learn. They just seem to want to push their own agenda, argue and belittle others. It amazes me how many main stream or blatantly anti-conspiracy theory ideas are now peddled on this site as fact...

To be honest, I still find the occasional gem on ATS... But often I'm just looking for a really good argument!

Stan Meyer's Dune Buggy that ran on water. Hydrogen/Oxygen fuel in an ICE motor. On board electrolysis, no hydrogen tanks, no bombs on-board, just water. (1998) It ran 100 miles per gallon! The 2nd best inventor of the Century, besides Tesla, who was and will always be #1. Stan is the mustard seed of Water Powered Cars!

SAY WHAT?!! COOL!

my favourite at the moment

Coleman’s devices, which about the width of a human hair, stick to a person’s forehead and detect electrical signals from the brain.

The small, flexible devices could also be put on the throat and behave as subvocal microphones through which people could communicate silently and wirelessly and perhaps improve speech recognition in smartphones.

In previous studies, his team found that study participants could remotely fly airplanes around a room using their mind. These people were not wearing the thin tattoo-like stickers but wearing electrode caps that pick up brain wave activity. But if such control can come from the cap, it could be possible to shrink it down to the stick-on tattoo level, which Coleman says his team is working on.

ok then I will just add from yesterday
my tech amazement: tree energy, cloned mammoth project, 3D printing of organs, nanobots.. and who knows what

The site used to have more interesting conspiracies, but I think it's more conservative friendly theses days. Hell, it may have always been and I'm the one that changed. Seems to me this site has just become a place to re-post other news sites' articles. started visiting the site around 2003. I just created an account just a couple of years ago because I got tired of reading all the dumb, misinformed BS and not being able to reply.

Yeah fully! Stan was the man! I reckon I could build a water fuel cell however I 'ain't got no money. Tesla is awesome too! His theories on gravity explain how interstellar travel is possible. I'm currently having another look at Tesla coils again to see if they can be used to produce free energy.

There is definitely some cool stuff out there.

Did you see that the latest addition to the American Navy is a water powered destroyer?

ok this is weird

yesterday i was in a heated thread with this member a reply to: jheated5 about illuminati and NWO..

then whilst on lock down i thought it would be great to know why they joined in first place

i actually wanted to clearly state what i describe as illuminati and NWO..

when you replied to this member here i thought I missed they post about why they are here but can't see it anywhere..

this would be a great opportunity to outline my definition without getting into heated debate about it..

given this is a popular conspiracy

i think we actually have completely different definitions yet we continue a debate..

like eg if you talk bigfoot you know it is bigfoot

no ur first reply is the first time i even heard of this
i will look into it

but if you are free.. would appreciate your reply on the below
bare in mind u just replied to a person who doesn't even know where is the button to open the bonnet on her car

ok what the heck is it about specifically.. i just read car runs on water..
like i know hydro energy but just from that quick peek i am assuming this is nothing like it

next then this is why it caught my attention and i said cool

in my mind right now this is what it is
maybe this is completely artarded what i say but this is kind of what is in my head if u just asked me

my view on oil and effect on environment and economy is often contradicting

like yew screw petrol but then again i want to be on that boeing..

i mean i didn't look into it but are we saying something like boeing could one day run on water?

or am i completely out of context

I originally came here for more information and discussion about conspiracy theories with like-minded individuals.

Then I quickly found out that a large number of those individuals are bored teenagers, argument baiters and overzealous skeptics trying to put people in there place... welcome to the world wide web!

I still hang out and find a few good reads, but the environment here has become kind of toxic. The latest thing seems to be users running around from thread to thread spamming Pareidolia links to discredit people, which itself is a theory that's never been proven. Oh the irony
