I joined because I have for over 30yrs had an intense interest in ufology but my interests in the JFK conspiracy and the bigfoot mystery is further deepened thanks to this wonderful forum. I also think my constant striving to find some spirituality as I get older is also helped from some of the amazing members & posts here. Oh and I like mixing with my American, British, Australian etc brothers & sisters and remembering we are all human beings. Ooh was that cheesy it was not meant to be.

Lol what a combo.. What about a Canadian or a Scotsman? Ah.. I listened to these creepy two long videos, talking about random huge nests and people going missing somehow almost right in front of your eyes... then cops finding they remains days later completely in different areas ( still there somewhere but in greater distance). I also remember a story with this kid.. Her parent one day found her playing in one of the nests.. The little girl was waiting there to give the "creature" her little backpack and a hat..

Easy enough - I joined after the downfall of the Astral Society forums; at their peak they were almost as big as here, and now they have sadly dwindled.

From there, my journey led me to another psychic-related forum - But I longed for something more than telling kids "No, there isn't a spiritual war out there; no, demons are not recruiting; no, you will not be able to throw a car, air ball, or go Super Saiyan like your favorite TV show or Movie.".

And so, it came to pass, that ATS got stuck with my...
...my face. Seriously - I started lurking, made an account but didn't post much, forgot about said account for a couple years; and then, got the urge to become an active user again, and here I am.

At the time, I lurked at a number of websites that presented an "X-Files" type of subject matter. After lurking around ATS for a while I appreciated it's higher standards as well as it's political content and as source of news (before it was news).

I joined when I did because of an issue over ground water rights in Michigan. I really felt compelled to get the word out here and even omitted an introduction post in my haste. I felt it was really important for ATS to be where I would present that issue.

As to how I feel about ATS now in comparison? It is less important to me now. Less important even though ATS has become more visible and has gotten way bigger (in many ways) since that first post of mine.

ATS has a bigger audience now, but the idiotic, mean spirited and agenda driven have increased as ATS has grown. Bigger doesn't mean better when quality has suffered and important news, ideas and view points get ignored or trolled.

That may sound pretty harsh, but that's pretty much I how feel when I compare then and now. Don't get me wrong, many other popular blog websites with similar content, suck beyond belief in comparison to ATS, just want to make that clear.

Oh, I see.

My first thread was about the state of Michigan trying to take private ground water into trust. This, IMO, would lead to full control of private water supplies. My point was there was already laws in place concerning ground water and the state already has control of surface waters. All that would lead to is taxes and use charges from the state for water that private wells have paid to use (something they promised wouldn't happen, yeah right!)

Michigan however is apples and California is oranges (literally) when comparing water tables and surface waters. The over use and abuse of their water may require more regulations and enforcement, it is a desert after all. The trust measure never passed here, but perhaps if things got as bad as they are in California, it would have been a good idea rather than a blatant money/power grab for our private fresh water wells. The liberal Dems in Michigan were in a tizzy over Nestles bottle water businesses and wanted to take control. The Ice Mountain water plant is fairly close by, but believe me, it hasn't budged my water table an inch. The issues in California are different and involve shrinking water tables vs municipal supplies and irrigation, problems we don't have in our water rich state.

The cold beer served at the swim up bar in pool at the TAN head office, naturally.

I secretly lounge on a green alien blow up floatie bed in the hopes I see Big Fat Furry Texan show up in his board shorts. The way the water glistens on his ape fur. MMMmmmmm

instead, the only simian I see is Boymonkey74 in his banana yellow speedos doing bombs that splash water all over KosmicJack making Pina Coladas for Djarums, who incidentally is leaning cooly, casually, dastardly by the regular bar in his Steel-diaper glaring at anyone who thinks they can throw him in and make him rust.

I could tell you more about my day, but yeah, its the cold beer that brings me here, and that pool keeps me here.

I've always been fascinated by preppers. I googled it and got the survival forum. I also like some doom porn, so the WWIII, the diseases/pandemics and the fragile Earth forums got to me.

Now I mostly check the recent threads page, cause it's an easy way of getting news as they happen.

I also like to read some random stuff sometimes, like the paranormal threads.

ATS is so diverse, you can find anything here, it's why I love it.
