www.businessinsider.com...

"Wal-Mart suddenly closed five stores in four states on Monday for alleged plumbing problems. The closures could last up to six months and affect roughly 2,200 workers in Texas, California, Oklahoma, and Florida, CNN Money reports."

Here the part of the story that got my attention:

A Wal-Mart spokesman told Consumerist that the company had not secured permits "because we have yet to know the full extent of the work that needs to be done. We may also have to do additional upgrades that may require additional permits."

Some employees believe that the stores were closed because of worker protests for higher pay.

Employees of the Pico Rivera store were among the first to hold Black Friday protests in 2012.

"This is the first store that went on strike," an employee told CBS Los Angeles. "This is the first store in demanding changes for Walmart.

Exactly right. That does seem to be the message
that the corporate office is trying to send to
their workers.

So this is a plot by a greedy company that wants
to make more money... not a conspiracy to use
their stores as a make-shift FEMA camp during
Jade Helm 15.

Now that we got the cleared up I can go back
to watching TV.

That's a well-known practice of Walmart and other big box stores like Target. I've read quite a bit about how the employees are made aware that any dissent or attempts to unionize would likely result in a sudden need to renovate the stores.
www.cracked.com...

These kinds of practices are terrible and the employee/everyone suffers by the allowance of them to continue.
Boycotts would make a heck of a difference if people were to do this in enough numbers. For me, Walmart, Target, Welches are all off my purchase list. I haven't eaten at McDonalds for over 20 years now and nearly 15 for Taco Bell.
I also am trying to boycott Nestle with the exception of Friskies cat food which is the only thing my cat will eat. (I've tried and tried. I think they put something in it)

I see where it says one store was the same, but have you confirmed all 5? I don't recall which stores or how many were part of the protest.

I remember seeing in one of Michael Moore's documentaries that Wal-Mart has taken out life insurance policies on employees with poor health conditions (without their knowlege) and then cashed in on them when they passed. I have not shopped at WalMart since. (unrelated, also not a fan of Michael Moore lol but the WalMart expose was great).

Saw this on the web today and it gave me a chuckle-

Ugh. I just realized that the day I use Cracked for a reference is the day they choose to attack conspiracy sites and theories. There was no correlation intended there.

one store out of 5 does not equal "same STORES"

see one is singular

one is plural

stop the disinfo

this is obviously not about protests or plumbing

this is something else.

what i dont know.

but please stop with this protest nonsense

even if it was 2 of 5 that still doesnt explain oklahoma or texas. places these protests just wouldnt occur

my god the way some people brains work

When is a having a job better than no job?

Don't you have unions? Unions make the laws here.

you all cry foul about Socialism, yet Capitalism causes you to protest en masses.

Which is it?

you live by the sword you die by the sword, you want Capitalism you have to accept the down side of it too.

You don't want Socialism, fine, enjoy your poor pay and exploitation.

Well if this turns out being true.......Boycott Walmart. Ruining peoples lives is not acceptable. If they want to start a union let them.

Many Walmart workers are on government aid so they can eat. This is an evil corporation that has strayed so far off the path it started on the founder would be ashamed. The Walmart house must have been built on a large hill because Sam's apples are rolling downhill fast.

Everybody is a bitch at some level.

Perhaps you need to be more critical of your system and less bitter of others.

Something is clearly wrong with the current system, what is it? Don't mock Socialism
when your current system is worse.

Only if you like your answers simple and wrong. As far as i can tell this theory is just as baseless as the Jade Helm theory.
