Mazzy Star - Quiet, the Winter Harbor

For ships and goggles, I looked to see if there were any compilations or any new-ish videos by the laid back Arizona desert alternative rockers, Mazzy Star, and found out that they released an EP last June!

It has 4 songs, the above being the first track. The EP is called Still, and has all the feel and tones from the way-back machine of So Tonight That I Might See, including a version of that song that kind of rocks!

Self-released on their own label, it has all the delays, and loops, and reverb awash over Hope's voice that makes a sit down listen bring a smile to this aging rocker's heart!

I love this game!

First I love this one because its so bad.........its hilarious!

And its shot in Cannes, France in 1980!

My second favorite because..........its similarly awful and hilarious!
Ya' just gotta love the blond chic on this one!

But this one.......speaks for itself. Its like an ode to "Stupid".

enjoy!

I have a serious fondness for LP's style and her precise vocals.

I would love to see her write together with Alanis Morisette.

In 1972 and 1973, "Lydia e Gli Hellua Xenium" recorded a few tracks in Italy. Today, 46 years later, the real identity of Lydia is apparently still a mystery or at least a well kept secret.

A genuine mystery of the prog scene - and not only - from Italy for almost forty years, Lydia e gli Hellua Xenium just released a couple 7-inch records, that went completely unnoticed at the time (1972-73) and represent today authentic and rare collectible items, listed for hundreds of Euros each. Only recently the names of the musicians involved have been revealed, together with the story of the group (hailing from Busto Arsizio, a town in the province of Varese in Northern Italy), even if the singer Lydia's true identity - probably a pseudonym created by producer Fernando Lattuada - is still shrouded by an impenetrable mystery.

Worthy additions, ALL, guys.

It's always a good time for music ... but maybe, juuust maybe this is a great time! Better than thinking of supply lines and invisible tiny killers ...

as an aside, seems we're hitting the time when curtains are drawing back... let's hope the nice wizard wins and never fear!
