I just saw a good documentary, where people who were addicted to Porn on the internet, were put through an MRI. Brain scan , the results were very worrying, The scans showed that unlike drug addiction, it hijacked all the pleasure centres in the brain. Unlike un addicted people the so called "normal" who's central pleasure centre just did a mild light up. The main psychological problem being, that internet sex was more pleasurable to the addicted than real sex. Thus for the same reward the act had to become more creative, thus bizarre.Plus erectile malfunction is becoming the norm, because normal sexual stimulation doesn't do it anymore.

The fact that porn has changed in the last few years and has become more extreme, it would be catering to the more extreme tastes that , the user now requires, like Opium becoming Heroin. The problem being that with a Google search, the most bizarre images are becoming available to any young kid on his I phone. Does anyone think, that someone is allowing, these images to become more extreme for the eventual control and censorship of the internet?

I do not think that is a preplanned operation but it will be utilised to enforce restrictions on the internet.

In the UK they have already discussed having an automatic porn filter that can only be turned off by contacting the ISP and autherising it.

This would then give the ISP a list of people that choose to watch pornography which could me manipulated by the authorities.

Some valid points addressed here.

If you think about it. It is kind of anti-love in a sense.

Modern porn is far more dangerous than "retro" or "70's" porn.

Personally, I've crashed my car twice while watching the Ray J and Kim Kardashian porn video on my phone whilst driving.. Thats never happened while I've been watching a Ron Jeremy or John Holmes 70's Skin flick.

Where else can I see a half dozen midgets painted blue like Smurfs get it on with a giantess?
I watch the really weird stuff...more for kicks and giggles.
It compares in no way to the real thing.

I think it's like anything else. A small percentage of the population just become addicted to almost anything.

Than they try to ruin it for the rest of us by passing laws that only effect a small minority.

I say leave pornography, alcohol, violent video games alone and just treat the small minority with psychology.

Now I'm gonna go play grand theft auto while I have a beer and looked up pornography in a healthy non harmful way!

have you guys seen the movie strange days?
here is a quote that explains best my point of view, that extends beyond modern extreme pornography:

You know how I know it’s the end of the world? -Everything already been done, every kind of music’s been tried, every kind of government’s been tried, every "Effing" hairstyle, bubble gum flavors, you know, breakfast cereal...What are we going to do? How are we going to make another thousand years? I’m telling you, man, it’s over. We used it all up.

Porn is porn. Whatever the era. There's little difference between it and the evening news. In fact, I'd venture to say porn is better for you. At least it doesn't de-sensitive you to extreme violence and war. Except for some fetish porn and BDSM.

However, I do believe porn paints an unrealistic picture of human sexuality on impressionable minds that haven't been taught a healthy attitude toward the human body and sex. I'll leave it there for the sake of T&C.

Bing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for that post,

See in order to tag porn an addiction, they are going to make it a mental disease so big pharma can make a pill for it.

Yes I been sarcastic.

It probably hasn't gotten more extreme.

These extremes were probably always there, Roman orgies and the like, but now you know it's there.

Did the documentary posit that more men tended to get addicted than women or go into that at all?

Greetings- I'd rather watch porn than the Viagra™ commercial talking about 4hr. "woody" or the Cialis™ commercial where they do something and then get into 2 separate tubs that hurt My back just thinking of sliding in or breaking My neck getting out of.. Yeah, does that make You hot?..

Get real.. The 'broke dick' probably took 6 months to work up the nerve to talk with His "Health Professional" Then He finally gets a script and because of the times We live in, 2 other scripts. What are the chances He is going to wait until He gets home to take them? He brought a Diet Coke™ with Him and again due to the times, He takes 2 before He gets through the drive-thru at the pharmacy..

By the time, He gets around to "2 bumps and a shiver" the other 2 Rx scripts will be the "cause" of the E.D. so a few more scripts can be written. Don't worry about the guy's marriage because during the 6 months He was "too pooped to pop" The Wife found some 'strange' on the side...

Better mix in 1 or 2 anti-depressants...

Sorry I got kind of on a tangent there, I'm multi-tasking by also watching "To Catch a Cougar 2" on the PPV...

People sex is porn, plain and simple, is just that when is done in privacy is call sex, when is done so everybody see it is call porn.

Anything that gives the human brain "stimulus" is going to show in a brain scan as pleasure, because is a natural response.

And that is now been considered something to be worry about? we are not zombies or robots, who in the heck is the people that made the documentary, computers?

You have something there, but remember that as the new generation comes along, its all new and exciting, and will take a few years to get it all done, if they were born in 1912 a glimpse of stocking, would have had the same effect on their libido as, a soft porn film now. But the problem might be, unless the girlfriend, is hanging naked from the rafters, whilst he's stroking a chain saw he might not be that interested. I think the problem addressed in the Doco. Was that a young guy, was M%$#@^%$# up to 28 times a day, If he saw something that stimulated him whilst driving he would require relief. It was affecting his life. It appeared to be a male thing, but apparently the girls didn't appear to have the same problem, but were all aware of the terminology, so they had also done the searches, but didn't appear to be hit the same.

It did seem that way, but the girls were acquainted with all the terminology, during a question and answer session with high school pupils. Which proved they had searched the same sites.

In Rome they were probably at it more than we are now, but slaves were masters prey, anytime they wanted. I think they had "Pornotoriums" attached to the main house . The Lady of the house was as active as the Master. Not much seems to change.

Porn addiction is so bad that it can actually be compared to heroin addiction or even worse. It's a chemical addiction. Awareness on porn addiction should raised IMO. There are far too many inviduals whose lives have been ruined due to this.

Trying to overcome porn addiction is like putting a coc aine addict in a room made entirety out of coc aine and telling him/her to stop taking it.

Dunno .. shoving a two liter bottle of cola up the ........ ya I can see that as being not very good for the body . Secondly even food can be an addiction in the same part of the brain . Or are we to be offended that it is porn ? Sex sells people will always be willing on both parts to watch or preform or both.
