Hostages have reportedly been taken in a jewelry store in Montpellier, Southern France. The new incident is being reported shortly after hostages were freed and Charlie Hebdo suspects killed in Northern France.

There is no precise information yet about the siege. However, the media report it could be an attempted robbery which turned into hostage taking. Little bit of speculation, certainly bad timing being that thier spec ops were already deployed. Oh the stupidity.

Montpellier is quite a distance away from Paris, or the other incidents. I can't state for sure, but it would seem impossible for this to be the same people, though it is very possible it is terrorist related.

I've read on FB that Isis claimed the attack on charly Hebdo . And they announced that Saturday great brittan will be attacked and then all other EU nations and the US.. I can't verify this but it sure sounds possible. ?

They said that "tomorrow, Britain and the US". I have a feeling that they meant "in the future" or "soon" rather than tomorrow as in Saturday.

Kind of gives the authorities time to get ready otherwise.

Odd that the gunmen specifically said Yemen Al-Qaeda then, unless the other reports of Al-Qaeda and IS joining forces and these guys happened to be from the Al-Qaeda side of the joint effort but IS is claiming it as a whole.
