Governments to "Share" Emergency Health Information BEFORE Public Release in US, Canada and Mexico
….reports on the Ebola epidemic in Guinea+ remain unreliable.
InternationalSOS
8 October
Liberia:
…..There are several reports that all Ebola media coverage at health facilities will be restricted, to protect the privacy of patients and healthcare workers and ensure safety of staff and journalists. The Liberian Ministry of Health and Social Welfare and Ministry of Information have reportedly established a new Ebola media policy. Healthcare workers will not be allowed to give any information and no interviews will be conducted without advance approval from the Ministry of Information.

No matter how much media control is attempted it won't work for long and the rumors generated by other sources will create more doubt about official messaging which ultimately will lead to potential panic which governments are trying to prevent by message control.
Makes perfect sense right

Interesting. So how long will it take for these people to contact all three countries officials and get the ok to release the information when a verified outbreak happens somewhere. Typically it takes a couple of weeks for things to happen in the USA even without having three countries involved. Well, maybe Facebook will be a quicker source to find out things. I suppose that Health Department employees will be told they are not allowed to tell anyone....Oh yeah, that policy is already in effect, there will be no change. Violating a non-disclosure agreement can be severe
...do you really think this is a pandemic?!?
In a first world country it's almost impossible to transmit let alone become a problem.
Fresh Graves Point to Undercount of Ebola Toll
….The majority of the recent deaths recorded at the cemetery were young people — young adults, people in early middle age, or children — with very few elderly people on the list. Several of the deaths also occurred in a concentrated area, sometimes in the same house, suggesting that a virulent infection had struck.

No kidding. But I am hoping people with inside info (NOT rumors) might post it on jadedANDcynical's thread.

Sure paying attention is not 'doom porn' I apologize.
I'm suggesting you should have the facts straight. You are many times more likely to get hit by a drunk driver than contract Ebola.
There are about 6 billion people on this planet but how many are infected with the Ebola virus? Not very many.....I can and will provide stats if you would like.
Key Findings: Our results show that influenza patients produce aerosol particles containing measurable amounts of influenza virus while coughing. Further, 65% of the viral RNA was contained within particles in the respirable size fraction. Our study was also able to demonstrate that at least some influenza patients expelled airborne particles containing viable virus.

Whatever....
If you wish to live in fear feel free.
P.S. - you are wrong influenza is an airborne disease.

...people dont need to freak out, but they DO need to be vigilant and they DO need to take extra precautions.....

So would that mean that the immune system actually causes an over reaction and eventually death?
