I'm with you excepting one detail. God already knew what Abraham would do. So it isn't god that needed to know that Abraham "feared" him. God didn't need to know anything. It's Abraham that needed to learn something from the experience, as well as those he related the story to after. The question is...what exactly was god teaching Abraham?
hiring procedures.

And blind allegiance.

So what information do you think Jephtah had that lead him to conclude God would want a sacrifice?

Obviously he was relying on the information that God normally wants people to keep their oaths.
Further information about his attitude to human sacrifice wasn't being taken into consideration.

Even Jephthah's daughter accepted her fate because she wanted to please God and didn't want her Father cursed by him.

She sounds like a victim of Stockholm syndrome, a willing participant in human sacrifice is someone who has been radicalized.

If you take the story at face value and God's word this is a sick God we are talking about, whose people are terror victims.

Anybody can accept from God a blessing to be made into a great nation and the father of many nations, but how many of them would be willing to sacrifice their own children if God asked them to?

Abraham demonstrated that he was willing to do it. The sacrifice was a test.

God tests people:

Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands (Deut 8:2)

"I, the LORD, search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give to each man according to his ways, According to the results of his deeds. (Jer 17:10)

But, O LORD of hosts, who judges righteously, Who tries the feelings and the heart, (Jer 11:20)

The LORD tests the righteous and the wicked, And the one who loves violence His soul hates (Psalm 11:5)

The refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold, But the LORD tests hearts (Prov 17:3)

and there are many other verses.

In reality he was practicing the very same beliefs our elite practice and was ritually sacrificing his son for "wisdom", the perks they think they're evil overlords give them and they also believe, immunity from karma.

Michael, Jaliel, also known as Jophiel and Zadkiel stopped him because they're the true Angels and Higher Ups, and set him straight.

Source?

There is also a possibility of it being a gnostic meaning only, except that that kind of thing always goes on amongst the elite and powerful.

What is a "Gnostic meaning"?

Esoteric maybe, gnostic has a different meaning and nothing to do with the elites.

It was a Christian group of multiple sects that was persecuted out of existence in the fourth century.

It means "to know" or "one who knows" and has no sinister implications but was popular and a threat to Orthodoxy.

If anything the Orthodox Church is evil for persecuting and the "Gnostics" were by most accounts pacifists with morals and a different kind of Christianity mixed with other philosophies and religions.

It didn't exist in Abraham's time.

"Gnostic" doesn't mean secret or hidden, that is esoteric or occult.

And the meaning is he is sacrificing his ego.
