BASSPLYR - I dont have to believe you because I know what you saw and told you how it flies and even its name.

You got a solid gold real as it gets sighting. A genuine 'buy a lotto ticket' moment. Twice.

Thank you... and for what it's worth, the account certainly jibes with many, many others I've read about and, even more importantly, heard about in person from people I know and trust... and on some strange days I wonder if they resonate due to fuzzy, unremembered events of my own... heck, the remembered events are pretty non-standard.

So again, thanks for taking the time and having the courage to expose yourself a little.

The "testing" with those scenarios "they" do... hmmmm. I have an uncomfortable feeling that we are in a petri dish under scrutiny and the ones in the flying cities are keeping us around because ... some of us show reactions other than "poke and smash." Maybe. Heh, maybe you helped keep our experiment going.

It does give one a clue as to the scale of intelligence that's possible... and I have long ago resolved to be the best petri dish culture I can be... heh.

Yea the ridicule is insane. I'm glad I'm not alone. It's crazy how something so big goes unnoticed.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE FEISTY!!!

Quick question, this will require you to jog your memory a bit, and if you can't remember cause it was so long ago that's pretty understandable. When you saw what you saw. Were you sick, no not mental sick, physically sick. Specifically. A severe head cold, massive congestion, anything that would disrupt your normal sense of perception ie... balance, vertigo etc... ? Anything that would disrupt your sensory systems?

You know these cloaking systems, if they exist, aren't perfect. They don't work all the time. Sometimes I wonder if little things against the norm are enough under certain circumstances to see through the cloaking.

NOW ASTRO,

why fly over LA at 8:30pm when nobody is sleeping?

Back in the early 2000s, me, my brother and a few friends had a UFO sighting. It was around midnight or so on a clear sky summer evening in Texas. What we saw, was a black triangle. Huge...the size of a football field. It had a white light at each apex and a red light dead center. It made a low humming noise and it was probably 75-100 feet off the ground.

Whats weird, it seemed like it was following the highway outside near my house. I live in a small town in Texas that is maybe 10 miles from Fort Hood.

Anyway, this was close to the time that the Stephenville UFO wave was taking place too and that town is maybe an hour from me. The UFOs during that wave were reported to be triangular in shape too.

Yes. A friend and I were at work taking a smoke break when a massive black ship flew (glided) silently overhead at a slow pace. She noticed it first and asked me what it was, so I looked up and was truly struck silent as I watched it go overhead. I did not even think to use my phone to get pictures or video until days later. There was no sound, it was rectangular shaped, black, with windows running across the side. There was a large window in the front like that of a plane, and it was relatively low. No one, that we could find, reported it, not even people driving by, and we were in the downtown area. I have often wondered about that, and maybe not everyone CAN see them?

These descriptions sound curiously similar to an SEP field effect. Urban Dictionary says thus:

"Somebody Else's Problem", an effectively-magical field that obscures things you think aren't relevant to you, such that even though you see them (or hear them or read them) you don't actually *notice*, and quickly forget. More generally, the phenomenon that causes people to ignore issues that they know about but think of as either not something they can do anything about, or not personally relevant to them right now. This can result in something that's very important to a group of people being ignored by every individual member of that group. Popularized by Douglas Adams in the "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" series, in which Ford Prefect describes it as: "An SEP is something we can't see, or don't see, or our brain doesn't let us see, because we think that it's somebody else's problem.... The brain just edits it out, it's like a blind spot. If you look at it directly you won't see it unless you know precisely what it is. Your only hope is to catch it by surprise out of the corner of your eye." In that series, a strange object can be effectively hidden from view while out in plain sight, by an "SEP field", which "relies on people's natural predisposition not to see anything they don't want to, weren't expecting, or can't explain." It's just been sitting there all day, hundreds of people have walked by, and nobody said anything or even turned to look! It's like it's got an SEP field around it.

Further information can be obtained throughout the various compiled works of Douglas Adams.

Yes, right on the edge of the city. No one looks up. The elderly in their trailer court, the stadium across the road, nor the other townhouses, except maybe there are a few who don't report things, perhaps because they' have this from time to time and know not to report it. The ones who did share, because my kids couldn't resist talking, and the reservation which was adjacent to the towhhouses, they witnessed some of what we witnessed and possibly had their own memories of contact. Natives don't share, they renounce our white system. And kept their knowledge mostly to themselves.

Even sitting in a stadium, you could witness a craft, and no one else, if they wanted. They unlock your ability to see them stealthed, and you could have missing time or a time splice and actually be on board that craft.

They are way over our heads, we are anthill tech to them and the universe is not like we think it is, its weird and whacky quantum science, holographic, multidimensional, or layers of density, and time is just a program in our brain, with everything based on infinities without and within all things.

I love this, I try to explain this to so many people but they will not accept it, or at least consider it.

As for sightings that have gone unreported, I had one as recent as Wednesday night. A very bright constant light with 2 other dimmer lights dancing beside it, and then it changed green & then an unbelievably bright laser beam red. This happened over London for over an hour, others on ATS have confirmed the sighting on my thread but no other official reports.

Only one explaination, the government suppress this knowledge through the media.

They travel many light years or across dimensions to enter the atmosphere of Earth in their comfortable sleek spacehsip, expending more energy in their trip than our civilization has generated in its entire existence, all just to gently approach you and light the area in blue and then to leave unexpectedly forever?

Believe what you wnat to believe, but it probably wasn't aliens at all, and even if it were, you were just lucky to get a glimpse.

You were 14-15, not an expert on aerial phenomena. Neither were the people driving with you, right? Don't you think it's possible you saw a blimp or a helicopter or an airplane, and just misjudged the distance or sound?

Most sightings are in fact misidnetiifcations of mundane phenomena. What makes you think you're one of the rare few who had an unexplained encounter?

I also think airplanes and helicopters and blimps are seen routinely over metropolitan areas. I myself have seen many dozens at night, some of them even flying lower. People probably didn't blink twice at what you saw, unless they were right up close to it and had been watching it. Most people are busy anyway with things to do and can't look up all day.

Are you for real? There are many unexplainable encounters, I believe these sightings happen daily. The media will have you believe that "surprisingly a lot of sightings can be explained by misjudged aircraft & natural phenomenon" rubbish, I don't eat it up for a second. We all see enough aircraft to know what they look like, and when we see something different, we know it's different. Tell me, how often do you misjudge the distance & size on every day structures & objects? Rarely, I take it. For instance, when you see a grizzly bear in your garden, you know it's a f***ing grizzly bear & not your next door neighbours cat!

I'm sorry, but so many people have this "99% of unusual sightings are BS" attitude & it bothers me, if you'd open your eyes you'd realise there was more to this world than what we can ever hope to understand.

As someone said, we have anthill technology in comparison to these beings, and simply dismissing something with the good 'ol "these aliens in their super futuristic spacecraft from billions of light years away come to Earth just to float about & then shoot off" is pathetic. We don't have a single idea what they're up too, and even if we did we probably wouldn't understand it anyway. Also, who's to say they came from billions of light years away? We don't know who or what they are.

I find this an interesting read, and wondering how it might bare on this thread:
agora.stanford.edu - The Problem with Eyewitness Testimony...

Now I'm not saying everybody who says they've seen UFOs or aliens or whatever are rememberingly wrongly. What I'm doing is bringing up that possibility to help potentially explain things.

If a sighting isn't reported by other witnesses there's the possibility nothing out of hte ordinary happened at all. The subject who remembers it may in fact have a false memory or a distorted memory.

People can misidentify a normal aircraft as a UFO. There might be X number of people in a city who misidentify conventional aircraft in a given X period of time. It might only ocassionaly happen.

To produce a UFO sighting is easy because just one person has to have a incorrect or distorted or false memory. To produce a UFO flap is harder because it requires many multiple witnessnes. However, it's not out of the question an unordinary circumstance can make ordinary phenomena suddenly appear to be unordinary to a large number of people. And because many people have been fed stories of aliens and UFOs from TV and books, the potential for false memory is huge.

I realize I'm not making any friends by bringing this forward. Please understand I respect everybody who's contributed to the thread. There might be aliens or something unearthly visting us, who knows? I've entertained the idea many times over the years. I've even known people who related to me their sightings, and a few even mentioned aliens to me. So you see I'm not "out of the loop". I know there's a large population of people who think they've seen these things.

I can't help being skeptical. Virtually 90% of people in the US believe in God, of which there's no evidence for. Some 46%, according to a 2012 gallup poll (*), believe the traditional christian God created humans within the past 10,000 years. And there's many other examples of crazy beliefs or convictions which are whidespread even in developed countries such as the US. ATS is saturated with crazy BS. It's essentially a doom porn site. Its users are addicted. There's an attempt to remove the ignorance, but it's too deeply ingrained.

I once could vibrate with many of you here. When I was young, but I'm not like that anymore. Time has changed me, for better or worse.

But dismissing someone's account, or suggesting it could be an aircraft is insulting. What I saw, was most certainly no known aircraft & I viewed if for roughly 90 minutes.

As I said, while I understand mistakes will & do happen, I also understand that it's a very over used excuse. Mainstream media & 'expert' analysis will always suggest this excuse, and they're so effective at using it that half the population dismiss anything unusual because they believe the research & professional opinions.

I call this BS, they know stuff is going on up there, & they suppress it & dismiss it via bogus scientific explanations and deem anyone who believes it insane.

While religion is a whole different ball game, we have sufficient evidence from ancient man to modern times that there is something very bizarre going on & we are apart of something we have yet to discover.

I truly believe there is a huge significance to our race, and we don't know it yet.

A lot of reliigous people would agree with your bolded statement, so I really fail to see how religion is a different ball game.

My contention is ther'es nothing huge going on. We're not special, either. We're one species amongst many on this planet. We've dominated the planet, but we've had to fight for everything we have and we'll continue to. Future is uncertain.

What do you want me to say? That I agree? I admit it'd make things easier between us. You're probably right in some way, I think. I don't think ti's fair for me to say you're just wrong. I'm just disagreeing with you on those points above.

A relative had such an encounter. She had just parked her car in front of her house. Looking out her windshield she saw a "Kecksberg acorn". She looked away without knowing why. She was probably compelled to do so. When she looked up again it was gone.

It was right over the front of her car and about the same size as it.

Yeah. Almost 3 years ago I saw a huge biological entity. A jellyfish... probably 400ft x 400ft in the early evening of November 18th, 2011 in So California. 250,000 - 500,000 people should have seen it. I dragged my neighbor out of her apartment to observe it. All this time, I've found only a couple others that claim to have seen it as well. I've even had an ongoing Craigslist ad in the Inland Empire edition / local news section. It's still running. Very few responses. I saw another solid craft on the 16th that was just as crazy. Basically a 4-story building made out of riveted thick metal plates in a very haphazard pattern. Like it was done by a third grader. Mufon report #36360

Yes.

Myself and my drinking buddy saw two UFOs flying zig zag patterns at incredibly high speeds one morning in 1997.

We got off the train at around 5:30 AM, in Southern Nassau County Long Island. The sky was pink and both craft looked like little white dots.

To my knowledge, we were the only two people to witness the crafts. It was the only sighting I have ever had.
