Taxi drivers breaking wind?

First of all this is a serious topic, so keep any little jokes off here

I have multiple times gotten into taxis, and there has been a horrible smell during the journey
i always do my best to just in my mind assume we are going past a sewer or a farm area, i dont know just something to put my mind at rest, it certainly isnt me.

Anyway yesturday we were stuck in traffic, there was suddenly an awful smell like slufuric acid had spilt or something
i said to the driver wheres it coming from
and he said `its gas `and opened his window
i didnt hook on, i said if theres a gas leak nearby we should be closing the windows not opening them
he just giggled at me

when i got out of the taxi i realised he had basicaly erm broken wind, and wasnt even embarressed about it

natural or not, i do not appreciate paying for the privelege of smelling somebody elses backside!!

also, it seems to me that as a woman, i feel that some men especially taxi drivers, may even `get off` doing it with women in the car

either way im pretty disgusted and when i rang up the company they just laughed and hung up.

Am i alone in being disgusted here

Was he an Alien or an illegal Alien? Did you pull his finger?

It is pretty disgusting especially when your paying for it. However I get extremely uncomfortable and it even hurts sometimes when I have to hold it in so I have literally no choice sometimes.

PS. why is this in the UFO forum? I don't think this is paranormal lol

Where are you using these taxicabs?
If it is NYC, don't they have a law against cabbies farting in the taxi?
They should, because that cart food that they eat is loaded with nasty bacteria and makes some noxious vapors.

This is obviously a clean cut case of a swamp gas sighting.

I have had some nasty cab odor experiences that I think were not farts.

You should not be influenced by a taxi driver's flatulence with a screen name of uninfluenced. Sorry for the jokes, but you know you opened yourself up for that with this post right?

Most cabbies that I have hired don't seem to care enough about their fares to hold it in.

if they really cant hold it in out of respect for a passenger then thats #ed up

It sucks, for sure.
But look at it from their perspective. They are cooped up in that cab for hours, dealing with the public. They probably figure they will never see you again, so screw it, and fart in your presence.
Don't tip them.
