Winner of Nazi 1935 ‘most beautiful Aryan baby’ contest revealed to be Jewish

The winner of a contest in Nazi Germany to find the most beautiful Aryan baby was recently revealed to have been Jewish, the Telegraph reported today.

Last weekend, Hessy Taft presented the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial in Israel with copies of the Nazi family magazine Sonne ins Hause that featured an image of her as an infant on the cover.

The image was allegedly selected by Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels himself, after it had been submitted by a well-known Berlin photographer, Hans Ballin.

Just something that I thought the folks here would enjoy. I always enjoy little ironic historical twists like this. And to be honest, who is really surprised that the winner on the Most Beautiful Aryan Baby contest turned out to be Jewish after all. Not me at all. It always seems to be the case!

According to the article, the photographer himself knew that the child was Jewish, but submitted the photo anyway:

Her mother was terrified when she discovered her daughter’s face on the cover of the Nazi family magazine. When she approached Ballin, the photographer told her that he knew the family was Jewish, and that he had submitted the photograph because of that fact.

“I wanted to make the Nazis ridiculous,” the photographer told Taft’s mother.

Is it just me or does this sound like propaganda?

Not so sure about it being 'breaking news' it has been on facebook for more than a week, I am also sure I heard about it some years ago, and whilst sort of amusing in a dark sort of way, it isn't important.

I bet if Hitler ever reincarnated (hopefully didn't) he would be rather annoyed about it!

No, that makes the Nazis secret Jew admirers, lol.

I don't really think its pertinent one way or the other. None of the big Nazi goons fit the mold either. Little Adolf, Himmler, Goebbels and Goering were far from the tall, blond, blue eyed prerequisite.

The Aryan crap was a racist program based on hate and used as an excuse to promote Germanic "Exceptionalism".

What better way to conquer the world than to first convince people that you are better and the world should serve you?

But this shouldnt come as a surprise. Many believe that Jews are Khazar converts, which would make them European anyway.

My Question about the case of converts is whi converted them in the first place?
And even if they are converts the Torah says more than any other command to treat the converts well

No surprise really. One of the Nazis top recruiting posters was a Jewish man dressed up like an ideal German solider.

Ironically, Nazis modelled themselves on another ''we are the chosen ones and the superior race/ tribe'', of which they aren't alone.

The 'new' Nazis were always Nazis just like any other group calling themselves the ''superior race''.

'Nazi' has just become a hate word used as a means of detracting from other 'Nazis' and thrown out at Christians /white people if they disagree those of the ''we are the chosen's'' agenda.
