I just had to laugh. Man, some crazy news comes out of Florida. Home sweet bat s##t crazy home.

Judge and lawyer tussle in Brevard courtroom

And in brevard no less, my home county!

Tensions erupted in a Brevard County courtroom this morning when a judge challenged an assistant public defender to "go out back and I'll just beat your ass." Public Defender Blaise Trettis said Judge John Murphy grabbed Assistant Public Defender Andrew Weinstock and punched him in the head.

Take my advice ATS: Stay away from Florida, the crazy might be contagious...

It would have been funnier if the judge screams I AM THE LAW!!!

Good to know the courts is where disputes are settle in civilized manners

That would have been epic.

"I will just beat your ass, kid, I AM THE LAW"

This dude makes judge Judy look like a bloody care bear!

So much funny.

That was highly un-professional in my opinion. Even if the judge was having a very bad day, there is no need for such childish behavior.

Oh, no doubt about Night Star, the guy is obviously not fit to hold a gavel. Next time he might just bop some hapless defendant right upside his noodle!

However, his most unprofessional behavior certainly is solid comedy gold.

That movie is terrifying bfft. Maybe the judge needs a little "rehab"...

No?

Seriously though, I would have been like "what the hell am I seeing here!? Okay, cue Twilight Zone theme because this is unfrickingbelievable!!!" I'm still quite astonished by the whole thing honestly but it's still pretty hilarious.

The most disturbing part of the video to me was how nobody, not the sheriffs deputies, officers, court appointees, lawyers and civilians did anything, not even react like it was abnormal to what was happening. Everyone took it in stride like, OK this happens all the time!

Odd and sad that our broken system is lowering its standards to even higher levels then before.
Really what is next, duels at high noon?

Better retain a WWE wrestler or one of those UFC guys or something if you ever have a day in that judges court

Yeah, he definitely deserves to be reprimanded one way or another. I'm sure he would fit in just fine in a Taiwanese Parliament brawl. He is from Florida.

why didnt the bailiff arrest the judge for assault?

corruption and a 2 tier justice system.

that is most disgusting to me.

And a decent governor would have fired that judge the next day.
