Perhaps you should tell that to people in Brazil, its not really worked for them with a homicide rate of nearly double that of the US and the civilian
gun ownership being only 8 guns per 100 people. (compared to the US's 89). Also Jamaica. We can go down the list... if you like.
It's more than a high prevalence of gun ownership which are the cause of homicides. That is a fact.
