This is beyond sick, and I will never understand how any reasoning person can defend this industry any longer. The crux of the story from this former abortion clinic owner is this (excerpt from the article):

Everett, who left the abortion industry after a Christian business counselor she hired lead her to Christ, also talked about how damaging government-funded sex education programs are. In her speech at the Rose Dinner, she took aim at the programs for stealing away the innate modesty of children and creating a rift between children and their parents. She says that the programs aim to teach children that talking to their parents about sex is uncomfortable and then they offer to be the people the children turn to for support. She says that girls are then provided with low dose birth control, which is ineffective if not taken at the same time each and every day, which is close to impossible for any teenager. When the girls get pregnant, they then turn to abortion clinics, she says.

She also mentions the lack of cleaning up between abortions, because the money was the goal.

When you add this to aborted babies being used for heating, it's clear this isn't about "choice" for women, or any concern for their welfare. It's about money and killing. Birth control methods that end up failing, because they are designed to fail? That's what people defend? What does it take for the pro-abortion side to wake up?

Well, I don't think this one disgusting story should damn the whole industry. If you were raped and conceived a child, would you honestly want to carry that child and give birth to it, only adding to the pain caused to you? If I were of the female persuasion I would certainly choose an abortion in that situation.

I think there are other major factors in our society that need worked out first, that would then help cut down on the amount of abortions. Like the instilling of sexuality in younger and younger kids through media.

No where in that article is the heading of this thread mentioned, that abortion clinic owners pushed sex ed....

Cases of rape are far from the norm for reasons for an abortion. Using that as the example every single time the issue is discussed isn't honest. The vast majority of cases are someone being pregnant that doesn't want to be, for whatever reason. Age, with all the teens, inconvenience, whatever. Plus, I knew someone in that situation, and she had her child, and stated flat out that she didn't think punishing the child for the crime of the father was right.

I agree that there are other contributing factors, such as the sexualization of children. I read a truly SICK story earlier about a rape involving elementary school kids, with a brother/sister team attacking a ten-year-old. Abortion is one symptom of a larger problem.

I also think that anyone wanting an abortion should be required to have an ultrasound. I know what early ones look like (pregnancy issues), and how early you can see a baby. 11.5 weeks for one of mine, and her face was recognizable in profile. Hands, feet, fingers and toes - all very human. At 5 weeks, we could see the heartbeat. If women and girls thinking about that option could see what they are doing, a lot of minds could be changed.

Note, though, that targeting these kids to increase abortion is part of the plan. They know what that causes, and want the money.

What plan?
How were kids targeted to increase abortion?

The thread title is the article title, which is how we are supposed to post such things. In the article, it's stated that she talked about how the sex ed programs are related to the topic. This is all from someone who was directly involved in the abortion industry.

True, but nowhere in the article is the silly claim in the thread title mentioned. just a biased article pushing the normal nonsense.

That targeting these kids to increase abortion is part of the plan.

What plan would that be?

Yes rape is far from the norm, but that doesn't exclude it as being a valid reason for wanting an abortion. Abortions are quite an edgy topic. Yes, a fetus is a human being. But, sometimes one has to wonder if that child's life will be worth living if born to a parent willing to have an abortion. Sure, adoption is a much better option, but even then the children suffer.

This isn't a surprise to anyone following the issue. The more sex ed in schools, and the more detailed it becomes, the more teen pregnancies we see. There is a more detailed article here - read more - about this woman and hr revelations on the abortion industry. Such things are becoming more common, too, with more and more people that were in the business coming forward and talking.

Check this more detailed account - link.

This isn't bias simply because the facts make you uncomfortable.

If we justify ending a life because the person might have problems, where do we draw the line? What person doesn't have problems? Who decides what is justification to kill someone? That sort of thinking is exactly what the euthanasia crowd likes. There are people that believe killing a disabled person should be legal, or the elderly, or even the depressed.

So, the woman who ran abortion clinics is lying, because you don't like what she says? "Bullcrap" based on what facts, exactly? Of all people, I would have expected you to offer more than a simple denial.

You said it yourself:

That is what she claims.

Claims are cheap.

Maybe you can provide some evidence that "abortion clinics" dictate sex education policy.

From the second article - here -

“We went to the schools as early as kindergarten,” Everett said of her years working in the industry. During those sessions, sex ed instructors “are planting the seed (in student’s minds) that parents don’t know what they are talking about.” In elementary schools, the sex ed curriculum utilizes several books – such as Robie H. Harris’ “It’s So Amazing,” “It’s Perfectly Normal,” and “It’s Not the Stork” – to acclimate students to the idea of sex, and to promote sexual behaviors. “By fourth grade they encourage them to masturbate alone, or in groups of four or five of the same sex,” Everett said. By fifth or sixth grade, the curriculum turns to “talking about having sex” and intentionally encourages a “parents don’t understand you” mentality. “That’s when we gave them the low-dose birth control we know they’ll get pregnant on,” Everett said. The pills must be taken at exactly the same time every day, something those administering the pills know is very difficult, if not impossible, for most teens, she said. Inevitably, many young girls become pregnant while still in school. Scared, vulnerable, and conditioned to avoid discussions of a sexual nature with their parents, they call the only people they think they can trust. When crisis pregnancy counselors at Planned Parenthood and other abortion clinics get a troubled young girl on the line, “they … pull out their abortion script and use that to sell an abortion,” Everett said. Inside the clinics, those performing abortions often rush through numerous operations a day, often going from one room to another without sanitizing, essentially maintaining an assembly line of clients.

This woman spent years working in the abortion industry, and anyone claiming she's lying better have some evidence, or valid reason to doubt her word. That you don't like the facts she offers isn't a valid reason to call her a liar.

No sane person likes the facts she's discussing, but that doesn't make them false. Thus far, one person - andr3w68 - has posted anything other than denial. What do the rest of you have? Where is your data?

Maybe you can provide some reason to claim she's lying. She worked in the industry, so she definitely knows what goes on. Have you worked in that industry? What can you offer to refute her claims? No facts, no data, just opinions? Disappointing, truly.
