It's not weird, the same effect can be seen on the other side too! Look at the features on the edge of the opening then at the semertical pattern at the left of the pic. Perfect match!

you are correct!
the other side shows the same effect,

im glad i asked for opinion before starting a thread claiming this is defiantly art work lol

thanks

xploder

No problem

The mirrored image was intriguing, thanks for sharing.

Here is another pic of the opening.

I've done a quick look around and I can't find it right now. I don't really remember throwing it out, so I'm hoping it's still around. If it is I'll definitely copy it and share.

I went to their site in hoping to find something there but haven't so far. I'll keep you posted.

thank you,
it is now important to find to show that very early photos show this very clearly,
while later photos look like some sort of cement has been added to "hide" the etchings or art work

compare

i would love it if you do find the pics

xploder

The image has been mirrored! Look at the dark patch going up the right hand side, it matches perfectly with the edge of the shaft opening, At that point it has been mirrored again.

Yes, I don't know why people are saying that it's been "cemented over," somebody took the first photo (look at the shadow, it's the same photo) copy and pasted a couple rectangles and then flipped them horizontally to "reconstruct" the reliefs. Unfortunately, that's not all that was done, it's obviously been heavily manipulated.

Oh, wow, I see a smiling face at the bottom. Like a short laughing Buddha.

Edit: Like a laughing human-goat.

ok time to spill,

this is from the great pyramid of geza,
in the queens chamber,
right next to the "so called air shafts"

there is another one on the opposite side but is much harder to make out,

here is the full screen grab

which comes from this video

the video is about the robotic explorers that were sent up the shafts in the grand pyramid
screen capture taken at 13 sec into vid

xploder

lol, seriously interesting!

it does look intentional as well as the left, less defined image.

great puzzle, xploder!

Hmm, I smell something fishy going on. I wonder if that photo or video from the Queen's chamber was doctored by the director of it. Those are obviously mirrored images flanking the opening!

i needed others opinions because i watch "alot" of videos about the GP,

and had never seen this clear view before.

i also thought my mind was playing tricks on me

im glad others can see stuff too,
but does anyone besides me think this is man made art?
or
just some fluke of material/

xploder

i see it clear as day.

very well done too.

i'd have to run my fingers over it to feel if it's real and to tell you the truth, it doesn't much look egyptian, to me.
more indian, but i am no expert.

I had a bad hair day that day. I don't know who is above me in that picture. Looks sort of like I was a little under the weather.

Question - Did you ever think to contact the makers of the film and ask them what is going on here?

If they did add the feature, it would be interesting to know why.

question is why would someone doing a serious documentary fake this if it is a fake mirrored picture?
Why does Jamie Maussan make documentaries about balloons and call them UFOs?

Yes that is good. But why post this in the science forum instead of, say, Ancient & Lost Civilizations forum?

i was interested in what people would "see" in the image,
if i had just told people what i saw in the op it may have changed their opinion of their description of what they saw.

also if it was an actual peace of art in the pyramid, some people may have given opinions as to what it meant,
before being biased by the "Egyptian" aspect.

i wanted to get open unbiased opinion

Hi friend.
Thanks for explaining, but nobody is really unbiased. We see faces in everything because that's the way we are wired:

www.abovetopsecret.com...

I think we all see a face in that because we all have a case of pareidolia.

If you ever find out why he altered the image, let us know, but even before youtube was monetized people were posting hoaxes for the laughs.

Now that it's monetized (as are TV documentaries), people have even more incentive to post hoaxes on youtube as long as they get more hits that increase the payout.

there is some conjecture weather the video has been doctored,
or a mirror effect introduced to make it look like art work.

question is why would someone doing a serious documentary fake this if it is a fake mirrored picture?

xploder

It is in fact a "photoshopped" (mirrored) image that was used in the documentary. I don't know why the makers of the documentary would do that, but let me show you that it was in fact mirrored by recreating it myself.

Here is the image of the air shaft as shown in the documentary:

Documentary Image

and here is another image of that same air shaft (the original the documentary used, but without the photoshopping/mirroring):

Original Image of the Air shaft

Now, here is MY version. I used the original image, then I mirrored the parts of the two sides (twice on each side), and then I cropped the top and the bottom.

My Photoshopped Image (mirrored twice on each side; cropped top and bottom)

As you can see, my photoshopped image matches (pretty closely) the version of the image used in the documentary.

Going back to speculating on why the makers of the documentary would have done this:
...Maybe (just maybe) the image of the air shaft was not wide enough to fit their "widescreen" format of the documentary, so maybe they mirrored the sides to make it wider. But that's just a guess. If that was the reason, I'm not saying it was good idea to do that; mirroring the image just to make it fit a widescreen can be misleading, as evidenced by this thread.
