Its any collection of sounds for me. Its basically like an audio editor with a playback function, and a random feature. And I have to press the record button (figuratively speaking). But once I have heard something, I can listen to it at will. Which also means I can stop it at will.

It seems that, for some, a song can get stuck in a way that is impossible for one to do anything but listen. Maybe its being a prisoner of our own minds in some way? It could come down to just "wiring" as well. I have worked a lot with audio and music, so maybe I am able to compartmentalize it differently.

It works great with comparing audio gear, though I had to do lots of testing to make sure it was actually a reliable and consistent indicator.

I had to see a specialist after I actually went so far as temporarily losing my hearing totally, which was a hell of an experience as I was in a crowded stadium. The ENT pointed to two issues--one being Meniere's and the other being ibuprofen use. My prescribed dosage for ibuprofen was close to the maximum dosage deemed safe and it was outright damaging my hearing. Apparently a small percentage of the population has issues with tinnitus relating to ibuprofen and other NSAIDs, especially in high doses. For me, the use measurably damaged my low range hearing (Clooney sounds like one big mumbler to me) and was causing the tinnitus. Because of the existing damage, I was told that every time I take advil, I risk permanent hearing loss and a broad ban against NSAIDs in general (ibuprofen, naproxen, salsalate, and aspirin) despite having RA like issues. It's serious business and the only time I take the risk is when not taking it poses greater risks.

www.doctoroz.com...

Best of luck. I'll have my fingers crossed for you.

The song "Let It Go" from Frozen. I'm not afraid to admit I enjoyed the movie and loved the song, but when it's playing in your head for a whole week...

Ya know... How strange..or coincidence... That song has been replaying in my head since the other night. My boy is 8 and he enjoyed the movie as much as I did. I liked it...and that song... But yeah.. I wish it would stop replaying...
Maybe now that I'm about to listen to it.. It'll go away.. Hah..

She's still hiding in her room. LOL. I'd be concerned about child abuse allegations but, really, she started it.

I sometimes have the deepest of sympathies for all the people working in my local grocery store. I cannot imagine how painful some of it must be to them. I think the only aural torture that could surpass working with retail music would be to be trapped in an elevator with muzak.

"The Once and Future Carpenter" by The Avett Brothers. Damn that song is good. Get the album!

"Once I was a carpenter and man my hands were calloused, I could swing a metal mallet sure and straight."

This is kind of funny you created a thread like this because a few weeks ago I was searching for a song on YouTube that was played by a band at a wedding I attended. I enjoyed the song so much I wanted to listen to it again. The song the band played kept repeating the lyrics "Forget You" throughout the song, so I took a guess and entered "Forget You" in the You Tube search. (Some of you probably are chuckling right now, because you know what I'm getting at).

Well the title pops us with the video entitle "F**k You." by CeeLo Green. I just said to myself, this can't be! Than I watched and listened to the video, again and again. Now I can't get the darn song out of my head!! I'm not one that likes to hear vulgarity in music, but the song is so catchy, I can't get it out of my head. lol

This thread is so cruel it should be a T&C violation. Now these two songs will be fighting in my head all weekend.

I better stock up on some tequilla. I think I'm going to need to kill some brain cells.

High five!

Turning it up: "Oh god, Mom, did you just turn it up?!" Kids are so much fun.
