Happy Thanksgiving

And while we are at it say a prayer for our kids in Iraq who cant be home this Thanksgiven, and say another one for those that will never see Thanksgiven at home again

My father in law asked me to say grace tonight,
I laughed and joked with him that he was going to let a heathen lutheran say grace at his catholic table...
he laughed and replied, yeah and dont screw it up.

But i did give thanks (i havent led a prayer in DECADES)
for those that volunteer to serve our nation and those that have paid the highest price for our blessings....

My father inlaw was very pleased, as was my very conservative sister in law,
BUT
my liberal wife (i think she rebels against daddy's conservatism)
wasnt happy i brought up "the war" in prayer at the dinner table...
no dessert for me.....LOL

Thanksgiving is to me, a time to reflect on both the big and small things that i have that are positive....and we should all be a little humble and count our blessings, even if we dont thank any higher power, but just count ourselves lucky for something.
