A video of civilians who may have been killed by U.S. Marines in an Iraqi town in November showed residents describing a rampage by U.S. soldiers that left a trail of bullet-riddled bodies and destruction.

A copy of the video, given to Reuters by Iraq's Hammurabi Organization for Monitoring Human Rights and Democracy, showed corpses lined up at the Haditha morgue. The chief doctor at Haditha's hospital, Waleed al-Obaidi, said the victims had bullet wounds in the head and chest.

Most residents interviewed by Reuters in Haditha on Tuesday echoed accusations by residents in the video that U.S. Marines attacked houses after their patrol was hit by a roadside bomb.

On November 20, U.S. Marines spokesman Captain Jeffrey Pool issued a statement saying that, on the previous day, a roadside bomb had killed 15 civilians and a Marine. In a later gunbattle, U.S. and Iraqi troops had killed eight insurgents, he added.

U.S. military officials have since confirmed to Reuters that that version of the events of November 19 was wrong and that the 15 civilians were not killed by the blast but were shot dead.

Interesting.

Whats even more Troubeling is that there could be Dozens of events such as this - and nobody has a videotape or any other evidence to proove it.

So that's how it goes - execution style tactics.

I was waiting for you to post this. Apparently your "sources" have left out a very important detail:

Iraqi report on U.S. raid in village contradicts police official's version

He had contended each person was shot once in the head. The report noted multiple wounds. The U.S. had cited a firefight.

BAGHDAD - Iraqi police investigating the deaths of 11 people in the town of Ishaqi after a U.S. military raid last week reported that each of the bodies bore multiple wounds, according to a preliminary report reviewed by Knight Ridder News Service.

The report contradicted an Iraqi police commander's contention Sunday that each of the dead had been shot once in the head.

It was not possible to say from the portion of the report Knight Ridder was allowed to see whether other pages backed Iraqi police suspicions that U.S. troops executed the 11 or bolstered the U.S. position that they died during a firefight.

www.philly.com...

So, its works very well with your anti USA agenda to report a story like this, but the truth may be entirely different than what you report.

In this case, actual Iraq's are doubting and questioning the reports you post about.

Nice try Soul. Question: Did you miss this tidbit? Or did you omit it on purpose?

Okay Guys. Lets play nice shall we? Hmmmmmmmmmm

I would like to dedicate a song to the two of you from my favorite British Import "The Beatles"

Try to see it my way,
Do I have to keep on talking till I can't go on?

While you see it your way,
Run the risk of knowing that our love may soon be gone.

We can work it out,
We can work it out.

Think of what you're saying.
You can get it wrong and still you think that it's alright.

Think of what I'm saying,
We can work it out and get it straight, or say good night.

We can work it out,
We can work it out.

Life is very short, and there's no time
For fussing and fighting, my friend.

I have always thought that it's a crime,
So I will ask you once again.

Try to see it my way,
Only time will tell if I am right or I am wrong.

While you see it your way
There's a chance that we may fall apart before too long.

We can work it out,
We can work it out.

Souljah/Skippy ... Skippy/Souljah,

The topic of this thread is:
Iraqi residents say bodies in video from US raid

NOT whose source or opinion prevails.

Stay on topic, Discuss the particulars or Refute accordingly.

... in a civil manner that observes the constraints of the T&C, of course.

According to other sources this may all be part of a misinformation campaign.

Hate to spoil your party Souljah, :p

US targets Iraqi deaths "misinformation"

The U.S. military hit back on Wednesday at what it called a "pattern of misinformation" following Iraqi police accusations that its troops shot dead a family of 11 in their home last week.

Responding to comments by police and residents in the town of Ishaqi, north of Baghdad, that U.S. officers had failed to attend a meeting on Wednesday about the incident, Lieutenant Colonel Barry Johnson, a senior spokesman, told Reuters:

"There was no meeting scheduled with any Coalition investigators today. There appears to be a distinct pattern of misinformation surrounding this entire incident.

"This is another clear sign of that happening, making allegations for the sake of prompting media reporting and attempting to discredit Coalition operations. This is a pattern we've seen the terrorist-backed insurgency use repeatedly."

You are right - it is all apart of Misinformation Campign - LED by the US army.

Funny how you seem to skip certain parts of this Article:

"We heard a barrage of shooting for 20 minutes and then we heard bombs," said Thiya Hussein, who said his cousin was killed. "After the Americans left we went to the house and found 11 people lying in blood together in one room. Five of them were children. They were bound in plastic handcuffs and shot."

Another neighbor, Abbas Abid, said: "The house was damaged and the family was shot and lying in one room.

"Three cars were burned and four cows were shot also."

Near Ishaqi, at Duluiya, police accused U.S. troops of killing a 13-year-old boy and his parents in their home on Sunday, as well as five other people. The military said soldiers killed seven "terrorists" who attacked a patrol with grenades.

If you only Knew what REALLY is going on in Iraq.

This is only a very small ammount of information that gets through the dense US propaganda machine.

Bottom line is, that US troops DO kill Iraqi civilans without any remorse or respect.

But ofcourse - lets belive the US army Propaganda Officers, which create a story according to their own side of the Reality.

In NO WAY should the US Army be seen as they are killing innocent people.

That is Reserved for Terrorists, right?

Well, this is from the Philadephia Inquirer as well...

Iraqi rights group condemns raid

BAGHDAD - A videotape taken by an Iraqi shows the aftermath of an alleged attack by U.S. troops on civilians in their homes in a western town last November: a blood-smeared bedroom floor and bits of what appear to be human flesh and bullet holes on the walls.

An Iraqi human-rights group condemned the bloodshed in the town of Haditha, saying yesterday that it could be "one of dozens of incidents that were not revealed."

The video, obtained by Time magazine and repeatedly aired on Arab TV yesterday, also showed bodies of women and children in plastic bags on the floor of what appeared to be a morgue. Men were seen standing in the middle of bodies, some of which were covered with blankets before being placed in a pickup truck.

I think there's a media campaign to confuse the public going on... first they say this, then they say that, then they say this again...

Deja vu. I've read that situation before... where have I read that? Hmm... oh yes! Now I remember -- 1984

As opposed to your Al-Jazeerra all truth sources?

Again... as opposed to your one-sided sources?

Yes Souljah there is a campaign of misinformation going on. The US media does indeed downplay what is going on over there. Just like your one-sided sources blame absolutely everything on the Americans. If a person over there dies at the ripe old age of 100, your sources will come up with how the american soldiers tortured the old man or how the DU killed him, or some other such nonsence. And Souljah you will play it for all that you can in your little hate-filled world.
Too bad so sad.

As for the authenticity of the video, I have to question it since even the Iraqi's have sayed that it contradicts what they know.

As opposed to your Al-Jazeerra all truth sources?

Al-Jazeera is not Mine, I do not Own it - my Sources for this News are from Reuters, which I think is bringing the most "pure" version of News as they can possibly bring in this age of Information Warfare.

Again... as opposed to your one-sided sources?

One Sided Source?

Please Sir.

If some News Agency writes something against the US army it is immediatly labelled as pro-terrorist, socialist, islamo-fascist, one-sided source.

Why is that? Have you ever asked yourself WHO is pulling the strings here?

It would be Awesome IF that would be "my own little hate-filled world" - but sadly that is the Raw Reality of the Real World. You do not know what is going on in Iraq - I do not know either; but I am not trying to BLIND myself, when somebody says something against your armed forces. Apparently the World today is far more complicated then just Black and White - there are many shades of GREY if you did not notice. And as we debate about that and run in circles blaming each other sources, SOME people SOMEWHERE have yet again blinded all of us - and ofcourse made a ton of money by doing that!

AWESOME!

So now are you saying that you accept that not everything evil in the world is done by the US or it's forces? WOW! I will mark this day into my calendar. Sorry for misspelling Slovenia, meant no disrespect.
Yes, there is more to what is going on in the world and especially in that part of the world. This we agree on. But let me ask you a question, do you not think that it maybe possible that the reason that all these "reports" from both sides are not actually helping those who are running things?
As in the old saying goes, divide and conquer, mayhap, what is going on here is what They want. by keeping each side at each other's throats, even here, we are serving their cause? By keeping us from actually looking into the "real" reasons behind this war?
By our continued arguments where both sides cannot / will not try to meet in the middle, we are blinding ourselves to everything else?
You at one point in time actually campaigned that ideal, but now, it is all just the Great Satan that is america that you espouse. How about going back and actually exploring what is behind all these misdirections that are thrown our way.

Forget about miss-spelling Slovenia - it happens alot (Somalia, Slovakia, Slovania, Pennsylvania etc).

And, Yes - please mark your Calendar.

If you ask me what is it all about I have a very Simple Answer:

BUSINESS.

That's all there is Today.

It all rotates around Money - and if you follow the Trail of Money you find the People behidn this. But I belive that this Trail is so, SO Hidden from the World, that it is almost impossible to track. But I belive that these so-called Business-Men do create wars and conflicts in order to keep their profit.

So - let's look at it from the Economic point of View.

More Wars - More Weapons to be Sold.

More Weapons to be Sold - More Money.

Pretty simple mathematics.

And in order to keep the Public unaware of their Actions, they have to create and maintain an enormous Smoke Screen at all times. Since War today has risen to the level of a Spectacle - and it is more like a well covered Sports event, such as Olimpics; Media play a very important role, because they are the only messengers of news from Iraq.

But what does that help us here, far from it all?

Iraqi Police says US forces killed 15 Civilans - US Army says they didn't.

Who do we belive?

Why should we belive the Iraqi Police?

And why should we belive the US Army?

We will probably NEVER find out what really happened in this event - nor will we find out what the hell is going on in Iraq today, who is responsible for the Carnage and the Destruction and the upcoming Civil War.

As I said before - Iraq war is a SPECTACLE, and it is watched like a Movie by the majority of the People: you know, a typical movie, with Good Guys and the Bad Guys, and Explosions, and Shootings and ofcourse, Casualties. But Wars are never as pure as Movies present them. Reality is still much more Raw and Cruel. And as the people observe this Spectacle, they do really not think about the whos, the whats and the whys - they just swallow what they have to and move on.

Nobody cares anymore these days anyway - so why bother to think?

Lead by the US Army???? Give me a break the US is not leading a misinformation campaign you just want people to think they are. :shk:

Also you so often make statements such as this based only on media reports yet try to make it out that you know this is a fact, why or how can you be so certain since you live in Slovenia?

I am refering too states such as this

If you only Knew what REALLY is going on in Iraq.

(As you can see you implied you knew otherwise as if it is fact)

Now again I ask you how can you make a statement like that without even seeing it first hand? :shk:

Let me guess you are using a Crytstal ball or Weegie (sp?) board right?

Gee thanks Dude - I might come from a Country, which nobody knows where it is, but we are not That Poor!

Anyway - here is another article about this "Incident":

Iraqis say U.S. troops massacred families

In a more recent incident, Iraqi police accused American troops of executing 11 people, including a 75-year-old woman and a 6-month-old infant, in the aftermath of a raid last Wednesday on a house about 60 miles north of Baghdad.

The villagers were killed after American troops herded them into a single room of the house, according to a police document obtained by Knight Ridder Newspapers. The soldiers also burned three vehicles and blew up the house, the document said.

I wonder how many of those Incidents go by Un-noticed.

Or - without any Witnesses.

And yes - it is a report from Associated Press AND Knight-Ridder.

Imagine that!
