I found this UFO video on coast to coast am's website. at first i thought it was a military flare or ball lighting, but after viewing the enitre thing i think it might be a real ufo (as in alien). be sure to read the guys story too, it is weird. tell me what you think!

Very interesting video. Looked a bit like a flare thru clouds, but I've never seen a flare act like that... Could also have been a ball lightning, but it seemed more solid than that. Would like to see the animals reaction though. Animals tend to percept waaay more than we humans.

Good stuff! I wonder why the guy didn't mention the beam coming out of it. That was the most striking thing to me.

yeah me too, i think he was so surprised about it he forgot to mention it. the blinking and the beam is what convinced me it was the real mccoy

I think the beam was a lens flare. When the camera focused, it vanished. Im not being skeptical. I really dont know what it could have been. There are some threads here that describe the same type of phenom. I believe one was in the antartic, and the other was over a city. I think the thread was called something loke Great Gobbeldy Gooks, or Great Goose Grease, I cant rember. Its currently active now.

The sound on the video is definately not outdoor sound.

I think it's a video of someone launching a marine flare. The clouds are illuminating it and his zooming in and out is giving it effect.

Where is the video of the stunned animals. If he had time to see stunned looks on their faces then he sure had time to point the camera that way.

It looked like the lens flare went all the way through the screen (top to bottom). The beam started at the object and went down through the bottom of the screen. I'm certainly not a camera expert though.

Peace

i know for a fact that flares do not blink and do not become stationary. if you saw a giant blinking fireball in the sky and started to film it i would be so shocked that i would of forgoten the dumb animals.

Marine flares once shot into the air do stay staionary. I have used them when out in the waters to illuminate the ocean.

Just like the one that is behind this soilder in Iraq. STATIONARY.

it looks like a sunrise on a really cloudy morning.

a few years ago I watched the sun come up between two active volcanos. there was a dense mist in the air thanks to the opressive heat and humidity in the area. the sunrise looked just like that.

i thought marine flares were just like army flares where they parachute slowly down. flares can not become stationary. notice in your pictre the flare is on the horizon and is close to the groud becuase it has a little parachute and it is floating down.

Also it is not blinking. That is the effects of it rising in the cloud cover which is causing the odd illumnation from the flare.

Also if these marine flares are fired from the flare pistol they will remain in a stationary position. If they are lit without being fired they tend to rise in the air as you see in the video.

Let me correct this. They will stay somewhat stationary until spent.

OK. After a little research and a phone call to the nice girl at Orion Signals

I have found out that there are two self contained flares that will replicate this same effect for anyone who would like to make a hoax video too.

The first is called the SkyBlazer and the second is the XLT

You can call (765) 472-4375 in the U.S. to order yours today.

I do not condone hoaxing and this is not a promotion for any product.

If you're willing to research it, then I'm willing go with your opinion.

seems to me like a hoax, the setting is perfect for one. Wilderness, trees covering up most of the shot and not to mention the heavy cloud cover. Perfect setting for a flare hoax and it does look like a flare.... ohhhh wait maybe it's an alien flare?!?! THAT'S IT!

Do flares actually rise as in this video? I can't say either way what this particualr video is but every flare video I've ever seen the flares seem to fall. This one appears to be moving upward through the clouds. I would buy the launched rocket theory over flare in this case.

it a very interesting video.
i dont really like the guys lame ass excuse of not releasing it for so long because of not wanting attension. I would have to say its a fake, yet its i couldnt say for sure, *beyond reasonable doubt* that it is a fake im leaning towards a hoax...

Looks to me like a shuttle launch. The beam, as has been previously stated, is nothing more than a reflection off the lense. Happens all the time; it's nothing to get all hopped up over.
