Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (1984) is an fantastic anime movie. I cant recommend it enough!

There are not many sci-fi movies I do not like. Even the bad and cheesy ones are wonderfull in there own way. Like Mystery Science Theater ones.

What about the predator movies? My favorite predator movie is the one on antartica..

An other of my most sci-fi favorite is The Mist, just love those nightmare critters and War of the Worlds..the one with Cruise.

I thought the mist was very good also...the ending was so anti hollywood I loved it, not many films have endings like that.
Plus it has half the cast of the walking dead in .

i'll skip all the classics since they have been listed to death.
Few weeks back i saw this nice little movie called "+1"
To give you a general sense:
bunch of 20 somethings throw a huge party.
Some kind of meteorite crashes near by, and long story short, it brings over an exact copy of everyone that's at that party, from a parallel dimension of sorts, now the doubles appear "delayed" compared to the originals, kind of like you seeing yourself doing something you did 15 minutes ago, and at every power outage, the doubles catch up in time with the originals, shortening the delay between the two groups.
The characters themselves, meh, all i could think of is "DAWSON'S CREEK!!" but the general idea is really trippy, you should give it a shot.

but, if you want my favorite, then yeah, it's aliens.
