I contracted a botnet on my main pc that was sending out bogus emails.
I have been blacklisted by google and lost my adsence account.
By my isp whos official reply was we do not lift blacklisted ips.

Over a hundred bucks a month to these shrubs and they wont lift the blacklist?

I have problems accessing certain sites now. Im officially PISSED OFF!

Anyone have a method to cure my headache? Im about to go postal

Don't spam people and you won't get banned.

The bot was not mine. It was malware or a virus. Adsence is a revenue program for hosting ads on your websites, just like ats does.

Oh "contracted" as in a virus. Oops I thought you meant "contracted" as in purchased. Your best bet is to get on the phone with someone and keep demanding their superior until you resolve this.

Been chatting with isp tech support and secutity division all day. Just got off the line with them.

Im about ready to tell them to shove their service up their _____.

I told them this much. They were not the least bit concerned. (market stranglehold)

they are however going to send me a new modem. maybe that is to give me a new MAC address and subsequently a new ip?

Lol I doubt a new router will do anything that turning your existing router on and off again wont achieve. All I need to do is reset my router and I get a new IP address. But I'm in Australia, I don't think it works the same way in the US. My advice would be to change to a better ISP if they don't want to help you.

I have a stand alone router. this is just a modem they are sending me. I have the choice of two isp, and this is the better of the two.
The other one is dsl and does not compare to cable. Im going to hope they give me a new ip with the modem.

If not ill disconnect my service for a month. Stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Hi OP,

Just incase this happens again, download a programme called RUbotted by trendmicro.

It is totally free and will run in the background on your machine.

Anytime one of these little blighters makes it into your comp the software will tell you and then you can take steps to remove rather than unknowingly going about your business while this thing causes all sorts of problems for you.

Good luck
