I scored an 87% ... missed two questions, but can't recall at the moment which ones they were....I'll go back and look, but meanwhile - go for it!


ETA: I just retook it and got 100%, and honestly don't remember which one/s I missed before.

I'm looking for where it says which question I missed. I can't find it.
I'm betting it was the one asking names. I kinda guessed on that one)

I suspected you would!! Keep poking around, there's a chart showing a bell curve...we are in the top 2%.
Granted, it wasn't a huge survey, but still - nice to know all our independent study is worthwhile.

Seems like last time I took it there was the 32-question option, which is what the bell curve is measuring.
I missed 2 out of the 32 I think - but now, I can't find the longer questionnaire. I'll keep looking....

Yes, in fact, it turns out atheists and agnostics know more than the average believer.
Pew Forum Religious Knowledge Survey: Atheists, Agnostics Score Highest

On average, Americans correctly answer 16 of the 32 religious knowledge questions on the survey. Atheists and agnostics average 20.9 correct answers. Jews and Mormons do about as well, averaging 20.5 and 20.3 correct answers, respectively. Protestants as a whole average 16 correct answers; Catholics as a whole, 14.7. Atheists and agnostics, Jews and Mormons perform better than other groups on the survey even after controlling for different levels of education.

How did I know someone would challenge me on that!

I believe I did take the longer one and got 34 out of 36, but I've cleared my cache since then and can't find the longer one yet. I'll keep looking.

recheck the OP, guys - I did find the longer version, and took it again.
I missed the question on Maimonides (I thought this 15-q version was too short!!)

97% correct on the 32-q version.

I missed the same question, never heard of the guy and, in looking into him, I'm not sure why I would have.

I got roughly the same as the short version. 88%. Missed some names and such.

Fun, but I feel that facts and quizzes are no way to measure religious knowledge. Measure in love.

Mmmm. Okay, I thought of a response for this.

How 'bout:
Religious "Knowledge" = competency in basics of all major world religions (including one's own)

and
Religious "Sentiment" = measuring in love.

Will that work??
