I just took a look at Nuclear Emergency Tracking Center's HOME-Page ...

I see TWO "RADCON_5_ALERT"s ... Idaho and Nevada.

I'm also seeing a higher average number of "RADCON 3 Elevated"s.

Just An Observation ... ( and I am NOT an expert in "radiation" ).

-
THANK YOU ... "Agit8dChop" for the Screen-Shot in 2nd-Post.

ALSO

Earlier today there was a Thread: "Radiation Effects in U.S. from Japan Nuke Accident" ... At this particular time there was just the ONE Idaho "RADCON_5_ALERT" and fewer "RADCON 3 Elevated"s.

It was THIS DIFFERENCE that prompted me to share the current ... "Observation".

I take anything I can also find at BIN with a grain of salt. These alerts are also plastered all over there.

It's funny how these elevated radiation readings, obviously related to Fukushima, are not reported. It's also strange that the readings tend to go up and down with the weather. Oh well, what did I expect from most media? The truth?

Seems to me that the radiation is taking a more northerly track, and is also being carried inland on the air and the rainclouds.

Thanks for the link, OP.

Why am I not seeing Japan (Fukushima) on the map being lit up with an alert 5? If anybody should be oozing radiation right now, it should be them. Also, the little running banner at the top doesn't mention anything about Idaho or Nevada or offer any explanation as to why those 2 have high levels. Any ideas about that? TIA

Between the idiots running Japan, and hiding anything that will cut into their profits, and our Government doing the same...critical mass, is looming closer in our future as a species.

Worry not Farley. If the readings keep rising, our Government will do the same as Japan is doing, and California is already doing. Just raise the acceptable limits. All fixed

I find it amazing that Fukishima radcon levels are so low...I'm not sure how credible or accurate this site is?

Seems like some radiation levels are higher in the US than in Japan, how is that possible?

The 'Nuclear Emergency Tracking Center' you say? Well, that seems legit.
That site no indication where it’s getting its information or what it means, but it does have a fee based service that will alert you to radiation spikes anywhere in the world. And Bible quotes.

LOL.

Because if the ocean and jetstreams and it's irreversible soon plumes of radioactive fallout will hit us and when reactor 4 is going down then $#it really going to hit the.. it's really sad there's only maybe one thing that could clear this. ..

ALL of the gamma numbers are from EPA high=volume air filtration of 60 cubic meters/hour, then measuring the air filter--It is NOT background radiation. And the numbers are in the same range as pre-Fukushima.

The sites that list specific models of geiger counter are usually indeed background, and I don't see any over 100 CPM.

The NETC posts numbers that are measuring different things, collected in different manners, and trying to impart the same significance to those numbers--shear idiocy.

The "Idaho" alert centers on/near/around Idaho Falls... Maybe something happened at [one of] the prototype facilities - or - maybe this is common for that area.
The "Nevada" alert centers on Las Vegas... Hmmm.

I find it really funny how people on ATS will get completely bent out of shape concerning where information is gleaned, yet the bigger picture escapes them completely. However, if it comes from a mainstream media source, nobody questions it.

C'mon people. Can you use your brains for something more than nit-picking and bitchiness?

Here's the bigger picture (YES, Virginia, there is a BIGGER PICTURE)....Fukushima radiation is hitting the United States. Not just the ocean, but the air, and in levels that are unhealthy. Are y'all okay with that? Can you help out a fairly new OP, or do you just pile on, complain because the site uses a quote from the book of Daniel in the bible, and then ignore what is being intimated?

The OP posted an OBSERVATION. That's all. Raising a little red flag concerning environmental pollution that can have devastating consequences on our health, on our children's health, and on down the line. Good GAWD some of y'all think you're so smart, but all you do is embarrass yourself with pettiness, snarkiness and meanness.

What would be an acceptable source for an OBSERVATION? The government? CNN? The tumor growing on your neck?

Since some of you apparently are radiation "experts", feel free to post links and / or information which disputes the original source.

Don't you mean "sheer" idiocy? Sorry, just had to point that out, being as we're nit-picking here.

Please post any links which support your statements.

Truth and exposure to accurate risk assessments?

Pure nonsense, you say? Actually (with two L's), if you look at it in terms of changing numbers, it has validity, if only in regard to levels that move. I don't know anything about measuring radiation, but I do understand things in terms of numbers that spike and then go down.

I see you're in Tokyo. How's that working out for ya?

I pulled up the other thread to point folks to the article.
The 2 researchers listed concerning the california baby study are top notch researchers that I worked with.
People need to pay attention to this and do NOT expect the gov. or media to be truthful. Ain't gonna happen for a variety of reasons.

Great post BTW!
