I put this in the Japan forum since that is where the Fukushima stuff goes but this is actually about how this is/ will be felt in the US. This is beyond chilling.

If this is a true reflection of the status quo, then I wonder how long it will be before there are population relocations because of this. And where will people go?

I'd love to hear what you think... does this article paint a realistic picture? Or is this sensationalism and fear-mongering? Or is it perhaps worse than this?

www.turnerradionetwork.com...

Please forgive me if this was already posted... I did search.
Please forgive me if I messed this up, this is my first thread.

I have a gut feeling that the information is spot on -no matter what the nay-sayers claim.
The wheels were set in motion, and the complete extent of the damage won't be known for generations.
Good first post! Thanks!

I don't know what to believe with the Fukushima fallout. There is the doom side and others who seem to think the US will not be affected.

Facts are tough to find, I feel like the MSM has done a poor job of reporting. Over 1000 days into it and it is far from being contained, still leaking into the ocean, and things could possibly get worse.

The lack of media attention is alarming to me.

Just wait until this evening, when folks get home from work....

Denial can't last TOO much longer- even for the 'eternal optimists'.

You should believe what your gut tells you.
My gut (and science) tells me that radiation, cescium-something-or-other, and all the other deadly chemicals associated with nuclear power plants are WAY to dangerous for mortal man to be playing with.
We know how to make chemicals that can annihilate every living organism on the planet, but we don't know how to contain them, should they ever get released.
Contrary to what MSM, the PTB, 'owned ' scientists, and the sheep that follow them will tell you....you can't un-ring a bell.

Perhaps. When things strike close to home it stops being "news" and becomes "threat". And then you have to decide how you are going to respond to that threat. Pretending it doesn't exist worked pretty well as a child when you thought there was a monster in your closet. Trusting others to take care of it worked well when you had parents to look after you. But now... well... if you are going to look at this and take it seriously it means... what? Moving house? To where?

All through history there have been those that saw the writing on the wall and "got out" before it was too late. Jews that left Poland before the Nazis invaded is an example that comes to mind. But equally there have been those that reacted to situations that never actually transpired. Fleeing home and job for no reason is a painful mistake. So... I guess it comes down to what people who are potentially in harm's way believe might happen. Is disaster coming? Or is this just hype? If the disaster IS busy unfolding what will you do about it? How will you avoid/ mitigate/ escape the problem? How will you take responsibility for yourself and your loved ones? At what point will you decide it "got real"?

I live in the Southern hemisphere. I don't feel the need to go anywhere but I am becoming very aware of where my food comes from. I've pretty much stopped buying non-local food, for example.

For what it's worth... I think this is real, I think it is BIG and I think we have not even begun to guess at the effects that this will have on our present human culture.

I can tell you without reading the link that Japan has, is, and will continue to contaminate the planet via Fukushima. They are dumping massive amounts of radioactive water directly into the Pacific Ocean and it is showing up in the food chain on the US West coast. Specifically, high amounts of radioactivity have been found in bluefin tuna, which migrate between Japan and the San Diego area. How do you like your sushi? Hot?

We are also being nuked by air. It is advisable not to be out in the rain in the Northern hemisphere. Numerous YT videos have been made by ordinary citizens of the US and Canada depicting rad detectors going off after a rainfall.

We wanted cheap electricity and what we got was free radioactivity.

The TRUTH is, and the government (US and Japan) will never admit it, Fukushima is exponentially worse than Chernobyl.

From netc.com:

radiation oversight

and enenews.com:

enenews.com

Like everything else in our amazingly insane world, this will be ignored because it's too difficult to think about, and a slight majority of humans still think that their government not only wouldn't lie to them, but would let them know if there was anything to worry about. In other words, Your Fellow Citizens are kindergarteners in a Sandy Hook classroom and there's no lock on the door.

The truth is, this is an Extinction Level Event, the Pacific Ocean is probably already past saving, which means life on this planet is doomed. You can run away and hide either with your head up your kazoo or into the Southern Hemisphere for a slight bit of time delay on symptoms, but it won't be long now before it becomes quite obvious to even the most clueless that malformed children are being born, the leukemia rate is going off the charts, and the plants and animals 'don't look right' or simply disappear. Expect lots of videos exclaiming 'this has never happened before!' and 'unprecedented!' accompanied by a promise to investigate the anomaly thoroughly, followed by the sound of crickets...

When China has banned US West Coast shellfish as being 'contaminated' (for whatever trumped up reason besides radiation), then you know something's up.

Did you all really think we could continue on this insane asylum of a polluted planet based on capitalism forever before the tipping point was reached and exceeded?

Agreed. 100%.
Chernobyl was a warning. Mankind did not heed the warning. Our president is pushing for MORE nuclear power plants to be built in the US.

It is what it is.

Its bad, very bad but all is not lost. I watched a documentary about a russian scientist who lived/lives in the chernobyl fallout zone. When asked about the radiation he was not concerned. "I know which food to grow and eat."
Iirc cherrys are ok but the pips are a big no no. I cant remember the other foods. He was not worried about external radiation.
Its bad but you can mitigate your intake somewhat. It just appears that the info on safe food is not readily available to the public. I suppose there is money in cancer/diabetes/heart disease/infertilty/dementia etc etc

I suppose I should be finding out where our bulk sea salt comes from. I have a geiger counter, I should test if it elevates from the salt. All the testing of nuclear bombs in the past has probably already contaminated the saltwater anyway so knowing if it is new or old is a problem.

Why is this not all over the news? If its really effecting people and animals you would think someone would speak up.

n the event a rod snaps, and fuel pellets fall out from inside the rod onto the floor of the reactor pool, they could begin reacting with each other on the floor of the pool. They would become self-sustaining mini reactors, completely uncontrollable, boiling-off the pool water, thereby allowing the remaining fuel rods to overheat and meltdown and releasing tons of radioactive gases into the atmosphere. One byproduct of such a scenario would be large amounts of hydrogen gas. The temporary structure built around Reactor #4 after the earthquake, would hold enough of that hydrogen gas to make the equivalent of a nuclear explosion once the gas ignites. Experts say that if such a scenario takes place as TEPCO is removing the remaining fuel rods, "it is bye-bye Japan and people on the west coast of the United States and Canada would have only DAYS to evacuate to avoid lethal doses of radiation." Strange that the mass-media inside the United States is failing to report this.

This scares me. I think it may be way worse than anyone is letting on to.

Prevent a mass panic, possible riots, anarchy, ect.. A mass evacuation would be very messy.

Hypothetically lets say the dangerously high radioactive ocean water is all over the North Pacific, so high that the west coast is being exposed. They could try alert the public and recommend evacuations which would wreck havoc, or down play it and avoid the mass panic and in a few years when cancer rate spikes make up a new bogey man if there is a need to blame the rise in cancer/radiation sickness cases. Pure speculation.

Perfectly plausible explanation. So more speculation here. Would it be safe to say the police state we are "in" is to air on the side of caution later?
