The US missiledefense system is still on track to go on alert by the end of this year and key US military commands are conducting "shakedown exercises" in preparation, a defense spokesman said Wednesday.

For right now these are shakedown exercises , the final test phases before
going armed live, like a final phase for provisioning debugging.

I have to agree with Sminkey Pinkey that we Americans are about as detached
from reality as is possible, this detachment from reality is only surpassed by our
detachment from the rest of the world, we have got to change our policies or someone is eventually going to change them for us.

I doubt that a nuclear war will happen anytime soon, none of the leaders of today would do it, even the most extreme leaders of today are mild in comparison with the leaders of the past.

As for 'solving' the problem that caused the 'terrorism'? Well that really depends on the cause itself. Serious long-lasting terrorism always has a cause of some sort and the resolution is always to be fond resolving that.

Well all that kind of abuse conveniently ignores the US companies who made great use of their European subsidiaries to side step US rules (as they do right now with Cuba) to make $.

Why is France still testing Nukes? Why not just disarm all of the EU.
