Loving the music discussion. As a goth metal & darkwave fan it warms my cold heart.

As for transhumanism, I'm all for it. Nature itself has been modifying humans for thousands of years. People themselves have been modifying their successors through choosing a partner.

Ultimately, like with all technologies, there will need to be a lot of thought put into what is ethical and what is not. The debate is who determines what is ethical.
