I was actually thinking that it may be better to wait until you get to know his personality a little till you decide...I can't even remember what we had initially named my cat...but it became apparent after a few days that she was very very mischievous and I was always calling her Missy, so that was the name that stuck! lol

Oh, I'm definitely waiting. What I'm doing now is thinking of names and calling them out to see if I get a response.

I would say that a good name for a black cat would be:

Umbra
Macros (as in Macros The Black from the Magician series of books by Raymond E Feist)
Obsidian
Stygian
Ninja

I like Umbra and Macros.

Also thinking of Reverend- because that singer I mentioned, Maynard James Keenan, sometimes is called Reverend Maynard. The kitty is black, and reverends wear black...I could call him Revy for short!

Still not sure of his personality though, other than he likes to talk. He's a gentle little dork when he's playing with me too.

I think it's going to be Simon...he talks a LOT. He looks at me when I say the name, Simon..and the name means "He whom has heard."
