Good Evening,
What would happen if a drilling company bored a deep shaft (several miles deep)into the earths mantle and then pumped in the contaminated water from the stricken power station? Would the condensed water steam separate from the radiation particles leaving the water purer and allowing the radiation to be absorbed harmlessly into to inner earth? Any thoughts?

The main practical problem with this idea would be the steam created, then the water again as you're cooled it around the shaft etc..

It would seem our best revamped 1940's tech really needs a boost.

I have been thinking it would be easier to start whith band aides like mandatory water filteration and purifing stations everywhere the environment is impacted. Like oil, hydro, drilling etc. not to even start on the nuke stuff sigh...

Cheers

In fact one stage further,Why not stick a turbine connected to the steam and make electric? ,condense steam and pump it through system again thus making free energy (minus setup cost )it would be perhaps create a trend other countries could follow geothermal power station , Also cant low level contaminates be pumped into old oil/gas wells then capped off safely?

Could the radiation be absorbing into a lava stream under the earth maybe near where the tectonic plates meet?

we can barely cap off active wells safely. Just look at BP's wonderful Gulf of Mexico disaster for just how good we are at it.

Instead of tendering the job to lowest bidder ,get Bruce Willis and the team from Armageddon on the job ,my bad Bruce didn't come back from his last mission saving the earth lol seriously through trying some small scale tests with similar less dangerous compounds is better than doing nothing and burying their heads in the sand isn't it?

So.....you basically want them to sweep it under the proverbial rug? I do not believe that is the solution, but at least you are thinking of possibilities. Cant knock you for that. Good luck!!

If the water could be stored in a empty gas well and capped off, wouldn't it be safe? I mean the gas couldn't escape so would the radiation? Maybe uncap it in time when a way to better deal with it can be found ?

laugh if u will but the answer too Fukushima is TRANSMUTATION of a solid from one existing type of Mass into a completely DIFFERENT, structure, or Atomic Weight.

its what started this whole mess,,,remember,, by making H2O,,,,Water,,,ironic isn't it.

Here's an idea. Get some kind of management in there that knows what their doing and isn't incompetent.

Dumb***** shouldn't be in charge of Nuclear anything.

The nuclear lobby wonders why people don't want nuclear power. This is why.

HHO tech.

When the dollar finally collapses, this technology COULD keep communities electrically self-sufficient, power transportation, etc..

You won't hear too much about this until the collapse. but this is what kept oil-starved scandinavian countries functional during WWII. It's old tech, - with new applications, and LOADS of documentation.

Google is NOT your friend, but it's a good starting point ..?

Your talking Hydrogen Gas - right?

So your going to put a Hydrogen Gas tank in every house?
Highly flammable gas - how would you get a town permit for that?

Have you scene newsreels of the Hindenburg?
Good luck with that...

Have you ever flown below cloud-level over the Mid-Atlantic USA landmass?

It's basically a huge forest, with clearings where they decided to establish towns/cities.

HHO tech could stabilize the Fukushima situation by remediating the toxic waste output via high-temp incineration.

HHO can be generated, stored, and transported much the same as LNG.

Are you scared by a BIC lighter? A 20lb propane tank attached to a barbecue grill?

Regardless, with Brown's Gas (HHO) you don't need to store it - you generate it, and then use it as needed.

Do you build and start a fire in summer, expecting to store those BTU's for winter?

During the second world war, thousands of HHO generators were built to power agricultural vehicles. buses, heavy trucks, taxis, etc., to keep their economy alive and feed their people.

Please research this before you ridicule my post.

You must know thal ALPS is cleaning the Water from nearly all
Radioactivity (>99%) and only Tritium and afair Strontium remain!

ALPS :
Multi-Nuclides:

Imo. we should dump this Water into the Ocean,
i do not welcome it but it is a better Solution
than keep the filtered and concentrated Water in this Tanks!

Dude i live in NJ - there is a guy that developed a Hydrogen System for his house in rural Jersey . They profiled the guy on TV - the permitting for such a system would be insane. The tanks need to be so far from your house and away from the road. It would never be cost effective in my state anyway. It's Hydrogen - they make bombs out of that stuff. Sorry - don't see it.

I guess that you didn't understand my post.

HHO can be either be generated 'on-site' for real-time remediation, or it can be produced remotely and stored in suitable, portable pressurized containers.

Nothing more dangerous than a 20lb propane cylinder attached to your barbecue grill.

(The 'Hindenburg' exploded due to electrical grounding issues - do the research).

Regardless, - search 'wood-gas', 'WWII', 'biomass generators', etc..

The truth is liberating.
