I have always been more right brained, and an imaginary writer and artist, but a few months ago I felt compelled to start studying about electricity. This is more left brain subject, and most electricians would probably never dream that there is anything more to it than things like turning on light bulbs. I think that if we had more right brained people take a look at this type of science that maybe the industry could be in for a giant quantum leap, then again maybe we are all wrong and we won't get anything more out of it than a good sci-fi story, and movie deal... but, that wouldn't be so bad either.

StarsInDust, I think you make a great point here, that adding right brain thinking to left brain science would make for huge leaps in scientific discovery and I can actually illustrate the validity of that point - which I will submit here for those interested:

Scientists studying recently recovered images of Einstein's brain discovered something very unique about his corpus callosum (a dense network of neural fibers which runs the length of the brain between the left and right hemispheres; it's purpose being to facilitate collaboration between brain regions with diverse functions).

Einstein's corpus callosum shows far more connectivity between hemispheres, as well as greater connectivity between specific subregions of left and right hemispheres.


What this means is that unlike the average brain which tends to think (for the most part) in distinctly right or left 'ways' (i.e. the whole "right brained or left brained" / "creative type or logic type" thinking) in Einstein's brain, the two hemispheres were actively cooperative...
....it was this ability to couple imagination with scientific study that made him such a brilliant thinker...

So you see? You are right. I think we would certainly get much more value out of 'combo' (right + left brain) thinkers than just good sci-fi stories

You framed your question on the AMA thread so well that it's obvious you have a firm handle and, I'm guessing, an opinion on that.

Back to RF Safe-Stop---The commercial version, I'm surprised the UK would need to purchase that at a defense show. Maybe for police/marine patrol etc?

Not sure if there's any documentation on how long the USG has had the technology, but it's been referenced in the literature for awhile.

Fascinating post. The interplay between the right and left hemispheres is very interesting. I am stuck more on the right side of things myself.

The information you shared reminded me of a very intriguing book called Left in the Dark:

A new theory of human evolution, proposed by Tony Wright and Graham Gynn in ‘Left in the Dark’, convincingly argues that the human brain owes part of its extraordinary development to the biochemistry of a specialist fruit diet. The hormone-related chemicals in tropical fruit initiated an internal hormone mechanism that increasingly promoted brain growth and elevated neural activity. When humans were forced from their tropical forest ‘Garden of Eden’ some two hundred thousand years ago, this link with biochemically rich fruit was lost.

Could it be that all our stressful, niggling mental activity really does hide a place of energetic calm and well-being? It can be no coincidence that religious practices from all traditions and ages have been designed to pacify or negate the activities of the logical mind to allow a different sense of consciousness to come through.

If our common experience of near constant low-level fear and anxiety is actually a consequence of a neurological disorder, there may be a fundamental solution to the problem. We all know that fear, distrust and a lack of connection lead to conflict and ultimately war. Such a solution therefore could be of crucial importance to our global future.

So, 70 years more advanced in this case, if that info is to be trusted. That is a HUGE difference in technology gap.

I personally don't think so, jasmine. So much of that doesn't add up for me. Although I have considered that there may be some more of them dadgum "mind experiments" going on with that crew, but that's just a fleeting thought that hit me.

It could also be connected to astral travel in some way. Admittedly, I don't know enough about it to give an ultimate opinion, but it just doesn't click for me the way the story is told.

Maybe a related concept: I watched the following vid late last night, and while it's very intriguing, I found much of the material suggestive that it might be a case of the intelligence agency UFO cult-building that Vallee and others have written about. That it started in the 50's is very concatenate with that theory. I have no doubt SOMETHING happened, but what??

I found it fascinating because of the various possibilities of what it could have been and some really freaky details. Lots of pics , some film footage, and even some alleged recordings from the aliens themselves.

It caused a great media sensation. Mass UFO sightings. Humans working together with extraterrestrials in secret. Hundreds of people were involved. The public wanted to know what was happening but no one could penetrate the mystery.

Their intent of the alien visitations being related to the WMD’s.

It seems that is an underlying theme associated with many alien contacts… the nuclear proliferation.

I think we as a race at this point, as a scripture says, referring to how people get use to evil: “The devil has made their deeds fair seeming to them”

Indeed, I think we forget the absolute enormity of the fact that we have the capacity to practically blow up—not only this planet—but the entire solar system!

It has lost its reality to us…we have become use to it.

I think it is no coincidence that the sightings, since Arnold saw those 9 saucers in 47, has increased so much on or about the time the bombs were created, and the Roswell incident in New Mexico (near the site of the first nuclear test) is an apparent reference to the intent and meaning of this alien intervention.

I am not quite sure what to think about teleportation and Project Pegasus. I did pick up and read Sean David Morton's book 'Sands of Time', however, and there is much discussion in there about alleged Black Ops work with teleportation, starting from Project Rainbow aka The Philadelphia Experiment. Morton has stated that a senior scientist in these Black Ops approached him and leaked information. This man "had lived virtually all his life as a top director and high-level scientist involved in the Above Top Secret “Black World” of shadow government projects and research." He instructed Sean David Morton to utilize his personal diaries and scientific notes, replete with an alleged completed 'Unified Field Theory', and to fictionalize it into a novel format. Sprinkled throughout this science-fiction novel are allegedly historical above top secret accounts. I will post a lengthy one about Nikola Tesla and Project Rainbow, which I found to be a rather interesting 'alternative history'.

Excerpts from 'Sands of Time' by Sean David Morton

Then there was the Grand Old Man, Nikola Tesla, who no doubt will be finally heralded as the greatest inventor and scientist of the 21st Century, as it would take us that long to figure out everything he was up to. Tesla did stunning things with electro- magnetic gaussing coils and, again, his work seemed to be more myth and legend than actual fact. People said he was teleporting things from place to place, and that, in one test, exact duplicates of everything he placed inside his device were appearing some distance away outside his laboratory in Colorado.

He “officially” died of malnutrition, penniless, using his last few dollars to feed his beloved pigeons on January 7, 1943 at the age of 86, on the 33rd floor of the New Yorker Hotel on 34th and 8th in Manhattan. But notes in the file claimed a double of Tesla was put in place long before to fool the Axis powers during the war and he was taken into a number of top-secret programs well after the staged death of his doppelganger. This was much like using Patton, arguably our best general, as a decoy to fool the Germans while the Allies were planning the invasion of Normandy. Telsa’s double, publicly shunned by the US government, was taken to a number of bogus projects and that information was then leaked to Germany and Japan. They figured the stupid Americans could not be working on anything of importance if Tesla, probably the greatest scientific genius the world has ever seen, was not involved. It was the perfect cover for projects like Manhattan and Rainbow.

With all that said, Project: Rainbow began as just a way to use electro-magnetic gaussing coils to fool enemy radar, basically creating a huge blur on a radar screen instead of giving the position of a ship or airplane away using electrical static. This all started in the summer of 1942. Brown, Bush, von Neumann and Tesla, using Tesla’s electrical engineering genius, his previous research with gaussing coils and working off formulas from Einstein, began running field tests on full-fledged naval vessels to see if any of it worked.

The initial experiments began in 1942 in simple radar invisibility using a web of degaussing coils around the hull of a ship. There were two tests with a moderation of success that caused a major rift between the scientists on the project. The first was on an unmanned PT boat, and apparently got the results they wanted, which was radar invisibility, a huge static field on the screens, and the ship vanished from view for a brief period. At first this was not even believed and was mostly chalked up to the massive EM fields affecting everyone’s mind and vision, or even that it was bending light around the ship to achieve true invisibility.

Due to what the Navy considered successful tests, this led Bush and von Neumann wanting to use human test subjects on a full sized ship with a crew aboard. This may seem reckless and hasty by modern standards, but remember this was 1943 when America was in the grip of a bloody, nightmarish war. Hitler had Fortress Europe locked airtight, Japan controlled the South Pacific, America was surrounded on all sides and US servicemen were fighting and dying by the thousands everyday. Any risk was considered acceptable to shorten the war and win.

But it was here the team broke ranks. Tesla, who was publicly “dead” by this time, and Einstein vehemently objected to a test with human beings. They knew the power of the forces they were playing with and both quit in protest. Using the crude computers of the day, called Turing Machines, after inventor Alan Turing, Tesla and Einstein argued that the computational power did not yet exist to do the calculations for a jump through space/time for the ship AND the men aboard. Dr. Edward Teller, the father of the hydrogen bomb, was brought on board to replace Tesla and Einstein, and he had no qualms whatsoever about wasting human life.

One major anomaly here was that Bush and von Neumann were brilliant in and of their own right, working with arguably the greatest collection of brainpower ever assembled in the history of Man, with equally huge egos. Granted, most of that was set aside due to the war effort, but they kept referring back to a mysterious “Advisory Committee” they seemed to be obeying with an almost slavish submission called “The K Group.” I mean, who was smarter than them? Who did Tesla and Einstein go to for advice? It was all just very weird. And it was this same K Group that insisted, in fact demanded, the experiment be performed on that specific date of August 12, 1943, whether they were ready or not, and they clearly were not. This ultimatum from on high issued by the K Group proclaimed that it was only on this date circumstances would be “optimal” for the experiment’s success. Without question, rhyme or reason, Bush, von Neumann and Teller just did as they were told.

So, fulfilling the demands of this K Group and with the moral and argumentative Tesla and Einstein gone, the experiment proceeded. In the early morning hours of August 12, 1943, the USS Eldridge, Destroyer Escort 173, moved slowly into the light of dawn out of the Philadelphia naval harbor with a skeleton crew of about 40 aboard and sailed into history.

When the order was given to engage the special machinery jury-rigged to the ship, it vanished without a trace. Apparently, a short time later the Eldridge reappeared outside the Norfolk, Virginia naval harbor, teleporting over 300 miles.

If the story is true then they didn't take in account the effect it would have on the human body,considering the report that some of the sailors bodies were melding in with the ship and that some went insane are just missing from the ship.So they dematerialize a ship at the cost of human lives

I read that book when it first came out, and while I agree that the human mind has become/is becoming increasingly 'flawed' in some fundamental way, I don't agree with the authors reasoning as to the cause...

For example: One of the points in their lines of reasoning as to 'why' our brains are 'devolving' is that for millions of years the brain grew at a phenomenal pace and then 200,000 yrs ago the growth "abruptly" stopped for no reason science can find - -
- -Well, in the first place, science has shown that the size of the brain does not necessarily dictate it's ability/intelligence, and in the second place, there is a reason that the human brain stopped growing; it's because, evolutionarily speaking, the human head reached the upper limit above which birthing the next generations would become physically impossible...

Also: The authors say that the cause of the abrupt cessation of brain growth (decline in cognitive ability), was that humans left 'the tropical forests of their origins', which eliminated specific fruits/nutrients from their diets - -
- - This is patently ridiculous...the primates of human origins evolved on african savannas, and reaching the equivalent of modern humans, migrated north and as hunter gatherers the nutrients attributable to the growth and evolution of the brain would have come primarily from meats and grains.

All that said, there does remain the reality that currently the 'mind' of humanity is certainly 'devolving', and based on the increases in mental illness, and other brain 'flaws', there must be a reason for our 'devolution'...

Something deliberate maybe? Which brings us back to MKUltra (and it's ilk).

It seems a good guess to me that 'whoever' has had control of the media for the past 6 - 7 decades is directly responsible for the 'dumbing down' of society...you can see it just by looking at the way television programming has deteriorated in quality, the way pop-culture panders to the lowest common denominator, the glorification of rampant materialism, the increasing lack of empathy for those less fortunate, etc., etc.

My point being that - if you compare the overall 'intellect' of society between now and 50 yrs. ago, track the decrease in rationality and especially, look how things almost 'got better' but instead are worse (i.e. prejudice among races is increasing; young women - even little girls - are sexualizing themselves in almost grotesque ways)...
....surely the human race couldn't have grown so 'stupid' (in so short a time yet) without some sort of outside interference?

The GUT has very briefly touched, here and there, on the idea that something 'other' then human may be accountable for, in some way, 'directing' (or dictating?) the workings of the black ops. factions of our government...and now having expressed my thoughts on the idea of "outside interference" controlling/effecting the degeneration of society, I think it would be interesting if there was some discussion of that possibility here in this thread.

I feel the degeneration of society is because of all the technology,family's aren't really family's anymore,technology has taken over our minds anyway if you think about it,the internet,cable tv, cell phones,video games and what ever else is out there.So i believe the more technology we have the more the social degeneration is going to get ,maybe that is what outside forces may want to happen

"Outside interference." Yes, I was hoping the thread would spark just that discussion, but it doesn't seem to too popular a theory.

I'm in though! I'll weigh in tomorrow and try to elucidate my take on that and look forward to hearing yours. Certainly with you on degeneration and devolution. Are we solely responsible or complicit? Arguments can certainly be made for both in my mind.
