Sorry, I am listening to that website, and he is talking about pics of national guard by the highways, saying that is why the trucks had to pull back.

Don't know what is really going on any more, if anything!!

I have to admit I would like to see the pics myself, because the only thing I am able to see now is I 95 south almost at a standstill.

National Guard is rolling in now. "Drivers are being pulled back now.

Well this could backfire on delivery of goods to DC if they don't let any trucks in. It would be kind of ironic if the federal gov created an economic sanction on itself.

I agree, because really that could happen any day of the week with an accident or construction, etc.

Nothing like expressing your love of the U.S Constitution by pumping billions of tons of diesel exhaust into the Air.

Pathetic

Ya know what's really pathetic? You and the people that starred this post.

It's a valid point, they're wasting tons of diesel fuel on every truck that's in this rally. If I owned a gas station in the DC area my diesel prices would go up just because of this rally. Isn't that how capitalism works? It really makes me wonder though, just who is funding the fuel costs if there really is going to be 4,000 trucks driving up and down the beltway for 72 hours straight.

Also - Yay the FB page has 170,000 likes. Good for them. They're at 0.5% of the population.

"Keep on truckin'" as they say.

As the saying goes, pics or it didn't happen. My guess is that they're using yesterday's hoax as an scape goat for their lack of trucks showing up.

I won`t believe it until i see pictures, until some pictures appear this is just another H.G.Wells war of the worlds radio show to me.
The few pictures i have seen of the washington beltway just look like normal friday afternoon washington beltway traffic to me.

I don't live up there, but geez, these cams all look to be showing normal transit conditions. A couple of accidents and road work always slow down traffic no matter where you are, so the few apparent bottlenecks I've spotted here & there seem to be of no concern at the moment. And it's Friday to boot, when have you ever seen Friday traffic that isn't heavy in a major area like this?

Folks, I'm calling it a big, fat dud of an event. If this is how day 1 is going to be, I don't have much hope for the next couple resulting in any meaningful amount of people assembling anywhere.

That looks like normal 95 traffic on the Friday before Columbus Day. I bet that guy with the boat is going somewhere warm and dry.

A good rule of thumb that i would use was get to the beltway by 3 or find something else to do until 7.
if I wasn`t on the entrance ramp to the beltway by 3 or 3:30 at the very latest i would just go on over to manassas and walk around the battlefield until about 6;30 or 7 and then head back to the beltway.

if you get there by 3 you can get around to the other side of washington with minimal backups, even on a friday like today.by 4:30-5 oclock it`s just a big stop and go parking lot because all the federal employees are going home.By around 7 oclock things start clearing out enough to get around the beltway with minimal backups.
The I-95 interchanges where I-95 meets the washington beltway are always a bit backed up because you have traffic merged into 1 or 2 lanes to enter or exit the beltway and I-95.

5+ mile stop and go backups aren`t unusal.

I haven't been able to locate it, but has anyone else heard of, or been able to find the route that they are suppose to be circling? It would make it easier to find them if we had one. (trucks, not NG, not buying that story.)

Ummm, it's that radio guy that is claiming it, not the truckers.

You don't even know about trucks and you're going to say something like that? Truck exhaust is essentially nothing but water on new trucks.

From what I understand they were supposed to be circling 495 around the city.

Thank you,
So, anyone who knows DC area, if I'm watching a camra, I-95 MM 176/SB/I-495 Innerloop Local, should I see something, if there is anything to see, and they are circling on I-495?

If you can find the outer loop camera you should have a better chance to see them, but they should be on 495.
