The Senate Foreign Relations Committee passed a resolution Wednesday granting President Obama limited authority to launch a military strike on Syria in response to its reported use of chemical weapons against civilians.

Well, why am I not amazed by this. I guess the war dogs got what they wanted, it's only a matter of time before we're involved in another long drawn out war with useless casualties. Not much to add really, how about you guys..

I really hate using the same material in more than one thread but I uploaded this pic, just for this topic.
I think if everyone opposed to this war, would send this pic to their congressman, it would stop it dead in
its tracks.

I am curious would we support it more if there were imaginary WMD's or is that in response to a lesson learned from the last 2 wars?

Sure, all is well. Unless another test-fired missile sparks a confrontation, or Obama decides to say "screw it, I'm attacking anyway" (since John Kerry and the President both claim he's entitled to do so regardless of the approval of Congress).

With the vast majority of Americans against a strike, every Senator voting "Yes" needs to be removed from their office.

I guess in the classified session is where they go over who gets a piece of the action once there are US basses in Syria.I have read that McCain does not like the resolution's time limits I guess it affects his bottom line.

This is nothing.

Its not Congressional approval. Obama knows he wouldnt get that.

So they assembled a hand full of traitors together, knowing the majority would vote yes and are now acting like they have the "people's" support.

And the Left/Right neocon media is going right along with it.

I'm sorry, were you under the impression there is some kind of difference between Democrats and Republicans? If so, you would be wrong.

Well, atleast we know who the traitors are. I was under the belief that they would refuse the request, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

The question that I've ask myself is will he also order the attack with so many people in the world are against all this?

I also think when he does this could be really have large economic consequences for the US , Opposing countries will maybe stop the trade or other means of boycott?

Correct. This is the programmed destruction of America.

When Obama gives the order to attack Syria, and suicide bombers start sneezing ebola, SARS and other plagues in every US city, the world is going to say, 'well, the US wanted war; now it has death in its own back yard'.

As the saying goes, 'the bullyboy has got a taste of his own medicine'.

Later, Kerry disputed an assertion by Rep. Michael McCaul (R-Tex.) that “radical Islamists” now make up the “majority” of the Syrian rebel forces.

Kerry said there are 70,000 to 100,000 “oppositionists” in Syria and that 15 to 25 percent might belong to groups deemed to be “bad guys” among the rebel forces.

Haha. Like they really know who is in there and their motives. But I see Kerry's point - people like Al Qaeda are both our friends and our enemy, so he can count the numbers in many different ways.
