NASA has released videos shot from onboard the Space Shuttle's Solid Rocket Boosters in the past, but you've never seen one prepared as masterfully as this.

For one thing, the footage was shot in high definition, so the image is exceptionally clear. But what puts this video head and shoulders above most other rocketcams is the sound. The audio has been remastered by the folks over at Skywalker Sound (yes, that Skywalker Sound), and the final product is nothing short of incredible.

Enjoy

I'm kind of glad he didn't.

Something I wouldn't have searched for but enjoyed greatly.

Thanks OP

Me too
I only know because I also posted this and the first reply was........................ Already posted

I'm a great believer in letting people post older stuff again so the newer guys get to see it

I just wanted to make it a polite reply before someone added rolling eyes or some such
I find that quite offensive and didn't want the OP to have to put up with it

I agree, some of us don't sit here all day and refresh the screen so we would never see videos like this whether they were posted before or not. We're not gonna come in here and say "gee, let me search for a video of a falling booster, and try to guess what the OP titled the thread"

Instead we come, see this post, and are awestruck! Thanks to the 2nd OP of this thread!

I've seen these kinds of videos many times

If you want to experience the real sound of a Shuttle launch, watch this video. If you have a sub-woofer, even better

Comments about using the search function tend to annoy me. Sometimes people don't search for stuff, but just stumble upon something that interests them. Even if the search function is used, the way you phrase the request can also dramatically alter the results.
