If I may, I think I can break this down so that everybody understands it.

The tax base is not there to support the ACA. It just isn't. This is simple third grade math covered in the slime of politics. The...money...is...just...not...there.

It's also right out of the Cloward-Pliven strategy. Over-whelm the system.

You and We can try all we want.

And we can all philosophize all we want ... BUT,

You do realize that the international corporatist cartel is the largest and most powerful organization in world history right ?

How do you propose to defeat this agenda ?

I have actually mentioned on other threads that all they had to do here (in the U.S.) was extend MediCare to everybody.

Don't remember what that would cost, but it might work (but if and only IF the corruption goes away).

But remember, the agenda is NOT to make things better for people.

The agenda has been (and is) to bankrupt the systems, not 'help' the average person.

If Obama Inc. was sooo concerned, why did they press this insane PPACA ?

Think about it.

ok i can understand what you saying but,

3 trillion on war
1 trillion on health care

kinda makes sense now,
they are more interested in death than life.

if you cant afford health care,
then you definitely cant afford,
the never ending "wars" on stuff

simply put,

do you want more wars of aggression in the name of security,
or
health care.

it would seem the military is working for Cloward-Pliven,
as they have spent more money by a factor.

I love political cartoons. They often boil the argument down to the point.

But you really have to look into the ACA. I mean research it, not just take it as a humanitarian effort. It is full of flaws. Wormrot comes to mind. That ship won't float. Pure and simple.

The only one who is saying that those who oppose the ACA are uncareing is you. Others have pointed out in this OP and other threads that it is a bad law.

And since you point at the military, lets also point at the DoE, HUD, IRS, DHS, any type of welfare to include SNAP, etc, etc.

They've gotten pretty big for their britches too.

im really loving this whole obama eats baby postings since hes been elected, its priceless comedy.

The usa is going down the drain and all you people have is left and right propaganda, and little cute emoticons to try to troll the other side, marvelous.

I cant wait for the next election, the democrats are taking the country down, but still will be in power because the republicains are stuck in the past, and dont understand that to win, you need to cater to the minorities.

Oh and when will you guys realize that in the 21st century, universal healthcare is the norm, not a commy thing.

Just my 2 cents

ObamaCare is far far away from universal.

What would you suggest is, and what would work in the USA ?

And since we've heard the shots from around the globe, who else is pissed off at Obama ?

Especially since it looks likes he's screwing the sick now more than ever.

Americans ..... why is Obama so late with these things ?

What are they really doing here ?

I had to check, because I wasn't sure of it, but Obamacare does not eliminate Medcaid or Medicare. In the 2013 budget, those two programs alone account for $808 Billion dollars. The defense budget, minus what we spend on veterans (I suppose that could be counted as health care), is $770 Billion. The Defense Department gets $668 Billion out of the Defense budget.

What I gather from all that is that we already spend more on Health than on Defense, Obamacare will make the difference greater, and Defense can't be cut sufficiently to pay for Obamacare.

I can certainly tell by your posts that you are passionate, sincere and very strong willed in your support of the Affordable Care Act. Fair enough...and I respect your opinion. Respect and Agreement being worlds apart.

I'd note that many, myself included, seek to delay and celebrate any success IN delaying the ACA because, as sincerely as you believe it's a positive thing? I believe it's an exceptionally negative thing. As you note people suffering for it's slow roll out? Again, as genuine and deep in my conviction as you are in yours, I feel the number suffering is INCREASING as it's rolled out and the overall system keeps sliding downward in service and quality.

It's just difference of opinions...Honest and sincere differences.

Sad state of affairs when the early Americans threw the Brits out and established democracy but we can't install some sanity into health care like in Europe where in many countries if you are a citizen you pay higher taxes but your health care is covered.

Do you really like the idea of paying $20 for a pack of smokes?
How about $40 for 3.2 beer, a 12 pack?

The wages in the US have declined over the past 30 years, and have not kept up with inflation / cost of living.

To add taxes onto the cost of living, means it's harder to live. Quality of life goes down hill.

Yes in a perfect world, everyone pays for everyone, and no one abuses the system. Ideally, universal healthcare would work that way.. I have yet to see anything, that works perfectly in theory and on paper, EVER work perfectly in the real world.

My Godmother, who lived in Canada all her life, was bed-ridden for 9 months while she waited for her "free hip replacement" via "Free health care" in Canada.. She broke her hip when she fell going out to get the mail, She was in her early 60's.

No such thing as a "free lunch".. I don't care HOW you slice it, someone is getting screwed.

The ACA hasn't fully hit yet, and already my insurance premiums are up, the costs of my meds are up.

My hours are cut, my pay hasn't increased at all. Bills are harder to pay, and groceries are more expensive and the packaging is smaller. I've down-sized a lot of our life (family of 4).

So tell me: How is the ACA helping anyone? It's hurting more then helping.. (and I still have to pay for my medical insurance through my employer).

I see nothing "Affordable" in the Affordable Care Act.

Tell me, show me one thing that the government has TOUCHED that doesn't blow up in ALL of our collective faces, and cost us more in the long run.

But we will still have the money taken out of our paychecks.

It's not a tax, it's theft of my hard earned money.

Obama, his wife, his administration, congress and senate are morally bankrupt. Every single one of them, crooks.

While people suffer greatly they take their high end vacations and live it up.

If deadlines are being placed on the start of the ACA, then WHY isn't there a delay on the money taken from our checks?

One of the main reasons that you do not hear about is that Obamacare is an "entitlement program" in order to work they have to gouge the mandated part of the population before they can pay for the other part of the population that can not be mandated

On top of that is not money for Obamacrap expenses right now, Many states will no expand Medicaid that means that the working poor and poor will not be qualifying for "free care" that we know that is not free for the mandated part of the population that needs to fill the pot.

Nothing is free in America, for somebody to have something free somebody else have to work their butt off to be taxed and pay for it.

My friend you are defending an ideology, base on good intentions and nothing else that in an utopia it may work but Obamcrap is that crap and the poor will still die and the littler children will still get subsidezed care provided by the states, is a lie that the littler children will die, but the corruption call insurance companies will now have a steady income of mandated tax payer to keep their income flowing.

But remember this, Obamacrap is a scam a fraud and don't be so obtuse on your ideology to realize that, because it will be too late and the disappointment too great.

actually i understand your concerns, and i do not expect that this will be a majic bullet to all health care problems,
but currently its die or go bunkrupt for any poor person who gets sick.
sickness is not a choice! and if you want to address the real problem,
change insurance laws to stop profiteering.

But remember this, Obamacrap is a scam a fraud and don't be so obtuse on your ideology to realize that, because it will be too late and the disappointment too great.

it would be nice if i could have confidence in this legislation,
i dont,
but it is still better than what was happining!

i still cant understand how you think a "for profit" insurance system can out preform a non profit,

ohhh thats right YOUR ideology says only for profit capitalistic companies can compete,
IS that WHY your IN the MESS your IN?

You forget that America is a nation of for profits, and will always be. . . Obamacrap is not going to take away profits from the private insurance businesses.

Remember that. It is the job of the states to provide for the poor with the local taxes, no the federal government mandating the productive working class population to do that.
